I was bored and was looking up shit (Shin Akuma of Street Fighter lol) and decided to check the MK wikipedia page, because Warner Bros recently copyrighted Sonya Blade (which could mean movies etc.) and was shocked at what I saw. An MK hater had this to say:
"Mortal Kombat is a worst-selling series of fighting games created by Ed Boon and John Tobias in 1992"
"Mortal Kombat did not begin as a series of arcade games wich was what the government wanted you to think,the government is bad not because theres a black guy in it its because were being overtaxed and such, which were picked up by Acclaim Entertainment for the home console versions"
!The series itself is also known for using the letter "F" in place of "u" for the hard C sound, thus misspelling the word "combat," as well as other words with the hard K sound within later games in the series."
Im really angry at this. It was a brilliant resource of information.
Now some dudes fucked it up and people have to go over everything to make sure whats said is true.
I guarantee it was probably a Street Fighter fan.
Bottom Line: Street Fighter pales in komparison to Mortal Kombat.
Mk is by far the superior franchise .

I wouldn't point the finger at Street Fighter fans, I'd just say it was a little kunt (hear the hard C sound in that one?) who has nothing better to do with his life than make others fucking miserable. It's this kinda guy who creates computer virus' just to ruin random folks' days.

Of course MK would be superior.
While it's been drove through the, it still remains a household name.
If Street Fighter was to go under, it would become, "Oh yeah, I remember that."
Even with Street Fighter existing first, MK made Street Fighter what it is today.

I hate to be against you guys, but I actually like SF, and don't make a difference between MK and SF.
I don't care what you say, but Riyakou is wrong, Street Fighter was the first popular fighting game, then after came MK...
AND I DON'T THINK ANY OF THE TWO IS BETTER.

I guess. It was wrong of me to blame an SF fan. Im not a fan but like the anime versions and think Akuma is a worthy character. If there was no SF then we wouldn't have gotten MK. BUT....if it wasn't for MK ....Street Fighter wouldn't have gained as much popularity because Capcom wouldn't of had to try and beat MK (Which it didn't lol) in the Kombat War.

I understand what you're saying.
I guess I should give SF some credit, and I do like Vega. Still, I don't think any fighting game franchise could grasp the legacy MK has.
I don't think the ESRB would exist if MK didn't.

I'm not against MK or the good stuff it brought, but I'm against the 'against SF' attitude...
Also, it could be an SF fan. Think about this... If some of you guys made a shitty comment like that on a SF Wiki, nobody here would mind, right?!...
Oh well, who cares anyways, this is not gonna change the fact that you guys hate stuff without reason.

I'm not against SF. In fact I was a SF fan before MK even reared it's violent head. I also don't believe that you've gotta hate one of the franchises just to enjoy the other. That's just bullshit. It's like thinking you've gotta hate Megadeth in order to be a Metallica fan. Just because MK and SF are rivals, doen't mean you can't enjoy them both.
I'm a bigger MK head than a Sf head (bt a long shot), but I still play a lot of AF.

Isn't MK4 on the PC?
Anyhoo, I'm not anti-SF, I just have very high respects for MK, for it was the first game I ever played, and it inspired me to become a game designer.
I've always enjoyed SF2 and such, but MK will always have a place in my heart, right next to Voldo.

Heheh, MK4 is for PC, but I'm tired of it.
And MK was also one of my first and favorite games to play, and that lasted up to MKT... After that, it kinda became boring to me... 3D killed MK, at least for me.
