This is defo the internet quote of the week.
Anyways, the first thing that came to mind when I saw this thread title was the recent Chun Li flick (which, in turn, was mentioned in the first link the Razer posted up). Now, I've recently had the great misfortune of actually seeing the Chun Li movie, and the idea that Ms Blade may fall to the same faith is devastating! Sonya was never one of my favorite characters, but I'd hate to see MK's name get dragged through the mud because of a half-assed attempt at a Sonya Blade movie.
Lets just hope WB know what they are doing.

Yeah I really hope that they don't put out some shite movies and tv shows.
But more MK the better in my opinion.
Oh and Robin Shou (Liu Kang in the MK movies) played Gen in that Street Fighter movie. (BOOOOOO!)

But with the amount of characters Sonya co-exists with - Jax, Kenshi, Cyrax, Kano, Kabal, Kitana, Kung Lao, Cage, just to name a few - a Sonya movie might not be a bad idea, as long as they don't call it Sonya.
Mortal Kombat: Special Forces would do just fine.

If they know their MK history and get their facts right, then I'd love to see it happen. But after seeing how easily they can make a joke out of a classic character (again I'm referring to the Chun Li movie) by simply not researching and/or giving a fuck, I'm very on edge with the thoughts of a Sonya movie.

With Boon being so lazy, the only stuff Threshold could use from Midway was all accurate. Ha!

Yeah, but they managed to get in the info of Sheeva being Sindel's personal protector, and that hidden way deep within the MK storyline.
They also managed to maintain the... okay MKAnnihilation was all wrong, but damnit! Sindel was in it and that's all that matters! *sniffle*

Hehehe, amen to that, dude. Although she had some terrible dialogue, and couldn't really act for shit, it was still all worth it for that one scene when her hair transformed into whips. Makes my day every time I see it.

I hate Boon for not putting that into MKDeception.
Anyhoo, while the dialogue was bad, the voice and tone was great. She looked like Sindel, and her body movement was well done.
I think the only character that was well protrayed in both movies was Kitana. Talisa Soto did a very good job, imo.

Ah man don't hate on Boon. He had close to nothing to do with the movies.
Iv thought about this for some time now and Yes I would like to see a movie/tv show about Sonya. But they have to be good. Conquest was bad-ass but was all over the show. So I hope that mistake ain't made here.
I have no idea in which direction they will take it though. I mean I can almost gurantee that it ain't gonna involve too much of Outworld etc.
It say most likely it'll will be like Conquest i.e. based on the past.
It'll probably go indepth about the Kano rivalry which wouldn't be too bad.
But again I have my doubts but the more MK the better.

An MK television show might be a bad move, though I did enjoy Conquest very much.
A Sonya movie might be the best way to go, and with Warner Bros' money and reputation, it could come out well. I nominate Sandra Hess!
