Yuppp! I wanna make a version of Mythologies for Scorpion with RPG Maker 2000 since I have all these great sprites for it. But I need help. I wanna know if anyone would like to lend me a hand. I do flash design and I'm pretty good with RPG Maker2000 already so hit me up, I wanna make this epic, and fun. Send me an email or hit me up on myspace.

It has been five years since he posted but he expressed interest in being involved with a Scorpion RPG. The thread however was started by a guy who was spamming to get koins with no real project so the thread was locked.
He said his email address is mrmpossible@msn.com
I have no idea if five years on he still used that email address or if he still has any plans to be involved in a Scorpion RPG progect because he hasn't posted since then however if you are able to contact mrmpossible he may be helpful.

Anyhoo, I would be more than happy to help, DanMacabre, but I would go best in the storyline department. I could write out the story and the adventure for you, but when it comes to the flash work, I'm not that good yet.

Great!! Although I'm not letting you write the whole storyline for me.
I grew up with MK and Scorpion has always been my FAVORITE character haha.
But I would love for you to be involved in the story line.

Id love to help but I don't know any flash shit and wouldn't know if I had the time.
Scorpion has always been my fav Kharacter too man so Id love to see more screen shots of progress.

I know he hasn't posted for five years but there is still a chance that if you send him an email he will be interested in getting involved. I just thought there was no harm in mentioning I knew of a user who has expressed an interest in this type of project. If he doesn't reply there is nothing lost.

Well actually, im only gonna use flash for animations and cutscenes.
I'm actually gonna use RPG Maker 2000.
It sounds corny. But i've given this a lot of thought.
And I have all the character sprites already.
So after a lot of thought, I honestly think that RPG Maker 2000 is the best choice considering the quality of the sprites.
RPG Maker XP looks to different, and so does RPG Maker VX.
I even made a brutality attack for the game already, so I'll show it to who ever is down to help me.
I'll show you how to use RPG Maker if you dont already know how to.

Never posted on this site before but being a huge Scorpion fan, and an aspiring games designer I thought I'd leave a couple of suggestions.
You mentioned having a location of "Hanzo's village". I'm assuming this is his clan - Shirai Ryu, which would mean Scorpion, his clan, and his family, are all still alive.
In the screenshot I see his profile picture is the concept art from MK4 where he has the skull mask and white eyes. I know you are still working on the game but while he is alive I think his picture would be better as one from MK1, which shows a more traditional Hollywood style ninja costume, and he still has normal eyes. Either that or someone could draw one. I'm not too bad at drawing myself.
Storywise, I have a few ideas:
Firstly for the game to be set before he dies - leading up to his death; his ressurection and training in hell; and his involvement in the first tournament - where he kills Sub-Zero. Thus divided into 3 chapters.
Secondly - but not too important, in MK2 Smoke is a palette swap of Scorpion (therefore has the same move set), I was thinking of maybe having this as an easter egg of some kind. Maybe they trained together in Korea (I say Korea because Hapkido - Scorpion's fighting style - is Korean). This could even be at the start of the game as a tutorial for people to learn the controls and get used to the UI, etc.
I've never used RPG maker before, but I have used flash, and I have a lot of knowledge about the MK storyline and a lot of ideas for Scorpion's filler that fits in well with the actual storyline. I wouldn't mind helping you make this game, so if you're interested I have MSN messenger. My address is:

Yeah but was the rivalry not because the Lin kuei didn't teach people of none Chinese heritage. And the Shirai Ryu was formed from former Lin kuei that taught the arts to outsiders....forming the big rivalry?
Im sure thats how that happened since it is based on old mythology.

From memory, Scorpion (then known as Takeda) was a member of the Lin Kuei. He later left the Chinese clan and formed his own clan back in his birth country - Japan.
In real life, Japanese ninja were said to have learned their martial arts, deception, and espionage skills from other Asian countries such as China and Korea.
This means that it makes sense that:
- Scorpion was once Lin Kuei.
- Scorpion therefore may have trained with Smoke.
- Scorpion knows Hapkido (a Korean martial art).
- The Lin Kuei taught Scorpion (Takeda) who was Japanese.
- The Lin Kuei are pissed off at Scorpion for his betrayal.
