When he is getting hit he sounds like Cyrax and Sektor, but without the mechanical sounding voice.

Kan you post the sound or link a video?
Note: The MK Team have spoke jibberish in past games with Raiden and alot in MK4's moves (oh im gonna throw you over there! Heard that one in MK4?)
I believe this was done for Cyrax/Sektor/Smoke in MK3/UMK3/MKT. The next time you run with one of these kharacters in either game listen out for "Oh no you didn't" in the mechanical voice lol At least thats what I think it is.

*on topic* movado's voice sounds like that, if u have mka, go to practice and choose movado, hit him around a bit, go out of practice, choose cyrax or sektor and hit him, and see if they sound sorta the same.

A lot of MK character have the same voice overs. Always have had. I'd say it would be really annoying to record different "uggh"s and "aggh"s for 40+ characters. It would probably take up a lot of unnecessary space on the disk too, to try and hold that many soundbites.

Yeah man especially in ports of the klassics. The dog in Kung Lao's MK 2 friendship has Sheeva's voice instead of a dog bark on the MegaDrive/Genesis.
Next time ur playing MK3/UMK3 pick one of the cyber ninjas and just run. Tell me if you can hear "Oh no you didn't". It kould be only me because I hear Raiden shouting "PUT DOWN THE SALT!" when he Tornedo Dives you lol

Lol, just kidding. I remember reading up on MK a few years ago, and about how they said crazy shit in the game, but it's speeded up so most people won't notice it. So there is a damn good chance that Raiden does actually cry "Put down the salt!" during his torpedo move.
Anyways, about Mavado sounding like the cybers, it's probably better that way. Instead of that awful cowboy accent with a speech inpediment he had in MK:SM. "My thanksh, warriorsh."

They actually say "Oh im gonna throw you over there" during one of the throws in MK4. Thats funny shit!

-Scorpion says "Check this out!" when he pulls out his sword.
-Johhny Cage says "Oh im gonna throw you over there" when you throw an opponent.
-Sonya says "GET OUT OF MY FACE!" when attacking.
- Some other male kharacters say "Aoww Goddammit" and "Ahhhh my leg!"

Heheheh, the MK4 screams and yells are the funniest I ever heard in any MK!
I've recognized some in english like "OW MY LEG!", but I also recognized one in my language... And it obviously wasn't said in my language. 
That translated to english would be "What a male duck gives me"...
I must've been crazy or high or something, but it still sounds like it when I hear it. 
Force of habit, I guess.
