Anyhoo, did you know the male to female ratio of MK characters is 7/2? Which means, for those who don't understand, for every seven men, there are two women. That is indeed a very low ratio. There's not enough women in Mortal Kombat.

The EX games aren't principle titles.
If they were, Street Fighter IV would be Street Fighter VI.

Yeah, well, neither are MKTE, or MKAdvance or MKUnchained, or MKTrilogy, or MKGold...
But I guess you didn't count them when you said MK had 8 titles.
But all of this is very questionable and negotiable so we'll just stick to the topic (for the first time). 
But, unfortunately, I'm not that familiar with the various MK facts, so I'll just leave this one with you guys.

Heading back a little, to the number of games in Street Fighter, if you count all the different versions, and the spin-offs, then it adds up to around 20 games. But who the hell cares about that?
Did you know that Kung Lao did not have a bio in the attract mode of the arcade Mortal Kombat 3? Midway had to make one when it was ported to the home consoles.

Hehe. Yeah. Well, I'm being lazy right now, so here's a half-assed one.
A while back, I posted one that was a reference to MK in GTA IV, where one of the Trophies/Acheivements was labeled, "Finish Him." Well, here's another one like that.
Did you know that there's a reference (kinda) to Mortal Kombat in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves? One of the multiplayer medals is labeled "Finish Him," and is awarded to the person who makes the final kill in a multiplayer game.
