Did you know that Kano and Ermac share the same death in the first two Mortal Kombat movies? They both had their necks broken by Sonya.

Did you know that Sub Zero was originally going to be called Tundra?

(Yeah, not much else to put on that one.)

Knew that. :p

Just like Did You Know?

Jax was originally going to be in MK1 with the name Kurtis Stryker.
But Sonya got his story because they had no female kharacters.

All the best,
Razer Scorpion

Right, Riyakou?

Yep!

Anyhoo, did you know Talisa Soto, who starred as Kitana in both MK movies, is Puerto Rican, despite playing a suggestively Caucasian woman?

Also, did you know that while Scorpion is supposedly Asian, he was never played by one? In fact the actor was almost always Caucasian.

This reminds me of Jessica Alba, who is Mexican, when she played Susan Storm, who is actually Caucasian.

Did you know that the first Mortal Kombat was illegally ported to the Famicom in Asia?

For those who do not know, the Famicom is the Japanese equivalent of the NES.

Looks like a toaster, but whatever.

Anyhoo, did you know this:

Look carefully, and you'll see that on Darrius's side, it's only seemingly black folks, and on Hotaru's side, seemingly white folks. And the folks on Darrius side are fighting for their freedom. Was it intentional? I don't know. But it does make me wonder...

Did you know that the Balcony in UMK3 was referred to as Kahn's Tower in the arcade version?

Did you know that (to my knowledge) Mortal Kombat has the most ports out of all the Mortal Kombat games? It's about 10 ports.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but okay.

Anyhoo, did you know the first Mortal Kombat game was designed with only four people?

I might have already done this one...

To clear up my previous one, Mortal Kombat 2 was ported to 10 different video game systems; SNES, Game Boy, Sega Genesis, Sega 32X, Sega Saturn, Sega Game Gear, Playstation, PC and Amiga.

Further looking into it, apparently there was a pirated version on the NES, the Sega Master System has a version identical to the Game Gear version, the Playstation Network has a downloadable version with online play. Even further, it was included in Midway Arcade Treasures 2 on Gamecube, Playstation 2 and XBox, as well as Midway Arcade Treasures: Extended Play on Playstation Portable, and finally being unlockable in Shaolin Monks on PS2 and XBox.

Not surprised, Mortal Kombat 2 is the bee's fucking knees!

Anyhoo, did you know that despite the constant backturns the MK franchise has had over the years, it still remains the biggest selling fighting game franchise of all time, and one of the most influential franchises of the gaming industry?
