I havent been excited for a MK game since DA and I havent bought one since Deception which wasnt that great. MKvDC might have been good (never played it) but the concept was just silly and I lost all hope after that but this one brought me back. Thats all...

Good to see you again Violator you're not the only person excited by this game it does feel like MKDA days

I'm in the same boat as you violator. I did not play MK vs. DC either, hell I didn't even realize that I had an account here or that this was the old MKA until today either. That is how much this new game has me excited; I'm revisiting eight years ago.

This game looks like it will redeem (most of) Mortal Kombat's past failures. Can't wait to kill again with a great game of Mortal Kombat.

I dont like how the gameplay is going...
Please Ed Boon PLEASE bring back the classic stances of characters and put more 2D feeling into the gameplay. I dont want to see Subzero΄s back when im on the right side of the screen. I hate how they make a 3d game more like a 2d game simply by limiting the moviments in an horizontal line.
PLEASE ED! make the standart classic stances and change this 3d like movements of the characters! just like capcom did!
that said... I LOVE everything else. The game looks amazing!

Good to see you again Violator. It looks like MK9 is bringing some of us oldies back to the TMK forums. I didn't play MK vs DCU at all because I was opposed to the whole thing. I'm so glad we're getting a game that takes place after MK:Armageddon while also taking place during MK1-3. Now we've finally got some MK stuff worth talking about again.

Oh I have a PS2 also but for MKDA, MKD, and MKA.
I also have a PSP for Midway Treasures: Extended Play (MK1, MK2, and MK3.)
I have MKG for Dreamcast but my Sega Dreamcast is broken. It was the first game I got for the system. It is something I really miss playing. 
Oh yeah, I also have MK4 for the Gameboy Color (I just need to find it). 
I just hope there will be a special edition of this game comes with the PS3 and a strategy guide in one package. That would be AWESOME!!!

Lately I've been playing Mortal Kombat 3 with my friend on the SNES. I can barely wait to see a story mode covering the events of MK3 with modern graphics. Also, so much fun to be had with tag-team mode over XBox Live. This will probably be the best Mortal Kombat game to come out in a long time, possibly ever, if they do it right. While it sucks having to wait a year for it, at least we know they're taking their time to make the game right.

I think we can assume that this game will be one of the greatest games of 2011. After some meh games, Mortal Kombat shall return in all its gorified glory. Midway shall redeem themselves with it.
