hello iam new here 
ok i just watched the finale and the show was great but i don't get this
if rayden was captured by shao khan then how he was freed ? and how was kitana and shang tsung were killed and they were in the first movie and shang was serving khan ?

The season/series finale wasn't meant to be the final episode. They had expected to make another season but the show was unfortunately cancelled despite really high ratings, possibly for their high budget expenditures.
Either you can consider Mortal Kombat Conquest to be an alternate universe where Shao Kahn won, or you can comfort yourself knowing somehow Kahn's victory was undone, Earthrealm restored, and all the main players survive, either via reserrection or some other means. Considering footage from Mortal Kombat Annihilation was used in the series finale, I consider Mortal Kombat Conquest to take place in the same universe/continuity as the movies, meaning some series of events took place after the series finale to undo Kahn's victory and brought all the main players back to life (Kung Lao, Shang Tsung, Kitana, Reptile, etc.)

yeah the series was very good too bad it ended that way they should make some minisodes or something to explain what happened after the finale
