Post subject: how to run Trilogy on XP ? |

hello
i can't run the game on xp i installed it and applied the patch but not working
i tried the compatibility but still doesn't work some times i get this error " no usable video modes available " and sometimes this " unable to link to kernel32.dll" then "cannot load WDIRxxF.dll"
i need help please

Have you got a legit copy? Or is it just a downloaded one? If you have the real copy it could just be an install error and just reinstall the game then the patch. One important thing is that some games and alot of 10yr+ games have to be installed to the folders it wants. Sometimes if you change the DIR folder to where you want it installed they will come up with link errors. If its a downloaded copy then maybe try a new download also i might add that the patch on this site did not work for me so i found a patch on google search. Im tips are to uninstall reset your pc then reinstall try to run the game with no patch ,let it start if it does. Then exit and install the patch ,reset your PC and try to run the game. Note: When installing both the game and patch make sure NOT to change any of the folders just click next next next ect ect. If this doesnt work well it either you're XP OS has problems or you're PC hardware set up can not possibly run it(Last Resort). Also i assume you do disk cleen up's and Defrag's every month or so ? If not it might just need a good Defrag
