Since this is going back to the old style has any one asked the question or heard if there is going to be an actual Arcade cabinet for this game. I assume there will not since MK4 had the last one and the Arcade scene disappearing but I think it would be nice.

I'd love to see this happen. It's been a long time since MK has graced the arcades. Now, I'm not really in key with the arcade scene these day. I know the latest Tekken was released, but apart from that I don't know what fighters appear in acades any more. Did the latest Street Fighter get a cab? _________________ Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen!

As cool as it would be, it's... just not profitable anymore. It would ruin the franchise from a funding standpoint. It costs way too much to do that for what is essentially a dead to dying experience. That's why their trying to emphasis so much on the Online Play. They WANT that arcade feel, but arcades are of a dying breed. _________________

I believe Street Fighter IV did have an arcade release. Although, it was only in Japanese, as far as I know.

That sounds about right. As far as I know the arcade industry is still alive and well in Japan. Hmmm, perhaps Japan will see a MK acarde cab. Doubtfull that the rest of the world will though _________________ Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen!

I went to Japan 3 years ago and the Arcade scene was still big over there they like to play games together rather then at home. The Arcades are packed out and i not saying there full ,they are overflowing.Amazing place and when it comes to gaming they have everything. So i would be certain they will have an Arcade of MK9 _________________ Frozen Smoke!

It's kinda sad that it died out in the rest of the world. I spent my childhood in arcades playing MK, SF, Teminator 2, Killer Instinct, Metal Slug... They were great times. Sure, it cost me my pocket money every week, but it was so enjoyable, I didn't care. So many good memories there. I'd love to see the arcade scene reborn and booming again.
Fair play to Japan for keeping it alive when the rest of the planet could not. _________________ Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen!

With Japan having some of the biggest technology industries, it's no wonder that they're still pumping out arcade machines. But that's not to say that North America hasn't put out some great one. Mortal Kombat, Gauntlet, House of the Dead, Killer Instinct....the list could go on. Oh well, here's to Japan for keeping arcades from going extinct.

I understand the fact that if they made arcade machines for a large market it would not be financially the smart thing to do, but I would think that if they made a small number of them mostly for the fans to purchase that the fans would buy them for a collectors thing. I would personally love to do that. there has to be a few fans on this site that are the owners of some that would purchase one. I just personally think it would be a nice thought.
