I was in software ect in the town I live in buying a ps2 game. At the check out counter a customer came up, and asked the man working when MKDA was coming out. And I knowing dang well when it is coming out replied Nov. 22nd, and the salesman said well actualy Nov. 19? Can anyone verify this for me, or was it a mistake of some kind? _________________ Revenge is a dish best served cold!

As far as I know the release date for MK:DA in the U.S. is NOW November 19th in Best Buy stores. It will be available in Best Buy across the country on November 19th. You can go to www.bestbuy.com and preorder the game if you like. _________________ I'm back once again......I'm in need of a new avatar......Anyone that may want to help send a PM

Here's what a Babbage's manager told me, as I pointed out to her about the time discrepancy between their computer and Midway's whole "Fatality Friday" marketing gimmick.
"Our original ship date was Nov. 21 but it got moved up to the 18th a while back an hasn't changed. Most new releases ship either over the weekend or first thing Monday morning so that they be delievered and put on the shelves in time for the following Tuesday. Bigger chains such as Best Buy and Wal-Mart take longer as they hardly ever stock a game on release date. Since they're the larger chains, it takes them longer to get product, and so that gimmick, for the most part, pertains to them. For us, we reserve the right to sell a product the moment we get it. So, if MK Deadly Alliance does ship on the 18th, we'll should have it the next day and we'll start selling it. BUT...and this is a BIG BUT...the ammount of copies we get to sell is based losely on pre-orders. In the past few weeks, I've had tons of people asking me about MK Deadly Alliance but the majority aren't putting their $10 down to reserve it. So, if our ammount of pre-orders are meager, then our ammount of copies to sell may be just as meager - maybe enough to cover those just our pre-orders alone with none to sell just off the shelves. In contrast, we got PLENTY of MGS2 and Final Fantasy X copies to sell because we had ALOT of pre-orders and they were high-profile releases. I expect the same with GTA: Vice City and MK Deadly Alliance but the number of pre-orders for Vice City FAR EXCEED those for this new Mortal Kombat game..."
There ya have it - as long as Midway sticks to the Monday, November 18th ship date, then the Babbage's and EBs of the world should get theirs in the following day. On Wednesday next week, I'm plunking down the full $50 for it.
Then...I hope and pray that I get that lovely "Hello, this is Babbages! Your copy of Mortal Kombat available for pick up!" on the 19th!!
