Can't say for sure if endurance will be brought back. Seeing as it wasn't in the first few games, maybe not. Wouldn't hurt to have it in though.

An endurance mode would be great. In fact, the ony MK game to actually have a REAL endurance mode was Mortal Kombat : Tournament Edition. It was good to have, but the game wasn't fun to play so I hope they will throw it into a game with some pontential to be fun as hell. _________________

I haven't played MK: TE, so I don't know what its endurance mode is like, but Armageddon had a pretty decent endurance mode. The only other game I know of that includes an endurance mode is MK Deception Unchained on PSP.

Armageddon didn't have an endurance mode at all. Maybe we have our terms mixed up. I consider endurance mode to be like a survival mode. I'l admit Unchained is the only MK I've never played so I wouldn't know what that has... but Armageddon definately doesn't have anything that would be remotely close to an endurance mode. Again, though, it could be a lack of agreement for certain terms. _________________

I'm with Bloody Shadow in this one. I used to spend hours and hours on Tekken II's survival mode. Each time trying to out-last my personal best. I'd be more than happy to spend a few hours doing this sorta thing in the new MK. An everlasting endurance mode, if you will. _________________ Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen!

Then the endurance mode in Armageddon is just a Wii-exclusive. I didn't really look into the other versions, so I only assumed. My bad!

Ah! I'm sorry. I totally forgot that the Wii had that! I only played it once and HATED the control scheme. My fault.

Well, to tide you over with the Wii version, it does let you use the Classic and GameCube controllers . Just in case you don't want to wave for special moves.

I guess one of the big questions about endurance mode is which way should it work. Should you fight a round, and be awarded a small slice of health back if you win, then the next round would bw the same idea except facing another character... and so on. Or should it play the way it did in the original MK? One you land the final blow on your opponent, should he simply ignite as the next opponent appears on the screen continuing the fight. _________________ Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen!

The little bit of health back with each victory was how it was done in MK:TE.
I think it makes the most sense. However, I can DEFINATELY see why some would prefer an onslaught with no mercy. Perhaps a nice option to play either way? I recall Dead or Alive having an option to play the traditional life refills after every round, or you life stays the same and the round is aover when your bar runs out. That was clever so anything is really possible. _________________

Personally, I'd rather it a round by round survival, as opposed to just have opponents constantly jump into the fight. The few seconds to breath in between rounds can make all the difference, and keep you on top of your strategy. On the other hand though, this will be ruined if there are long loading times in between rounds. _________________ Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen!

I would also prefer having the health regen. period inbetween each match. Having a total onslaught of fighting would drain energy from both the fighter and the player. A short break inbetween is always welcome.
