It would be cool to have all the ninjas in MK return in the new game. Plus Ermac is fun as hell to use.

This game really needs to include both those characters. They were present in UMK3 and as such should be playable, especially with the number of selectable characters available on the roster.

I think Ermac's a given he has a large fan base Rain is popular (judging from fan fic and fan art) so will make it in even if he's DLC. Never was a fan of Rain though I loved the potential in his storyline Boon and Co just need to use it more.

I liked Ermac when he became a good guy. So awesome and powerful... I bet they can do some wicked things for his fatalities now...

I think I had a thread similar to this a few weeks back (though, it coulda been just a conversation that wound up in another thread... I can't remember). Regardless though, I think Rain should defo appear in this game. Not a whole lot is known about Rain's character and/ or background, because he never really got enough appearances in MK games to grow and evolve. I want to know more about him. I want to know him well enough so that I can finally establish weather or not I actually like him.
Sektor got very similar treatment to Rain. He was never really around enough tfor his character to grow either. Yet he has always been a favourite of mine. I was well happy when I he appeared in the trailer for the new game.

I really hope Rain and Ermac, if they are back in this game, are given costume designs which look a lot closer to their UMK3/MKT ones. Rain had his UMK3/MKT design in MKD's Konquest Mode, so it'd be great to see him have that same sort of outfit, maybe slightly altered, in MK8. Although Ermac was seen with his MKD costume in the game's Konquest Mode and in MKSM, I hope for MK8 his outfit is closer in design to his UMK3/MKT look.

SAME THING HERE
I absolutely love the way the ninjas looked in UMK3 and Trilogy. I wouldn't even care if they had the exact same design.

i think both ermac and rain should be in........if rain is in it i wonder if he will have his cheezy roundhouse kick tht sends them around the screen...i liked tht move especialy wen incorperated into a combo

I think both Ermac and Rain are great however i find Rain umk3 an easy cheap fighter as all his combo's are simple ,a little to simple for me. As Ed said before at that time they just threw him in at the end of making umk3 ,makes sense that he wasnt thought out well. Young blokes nowdays would call it that nOOb thing they say.
Anyway i found Ermac to be more complex and thought out that i think makes the combo's more fun to pull off. But i have to agree it would be nice to see all the ninja's and robo's from MKT

Although they may have cheap, or complex back in the day, doesn't mean they'll play the same now. There'll be a completely different balancing to this game than the earlier ones.

Well thats true i was just thinking about the older ones ,it would be great to see them all in the game especially Ermac. I tend to refer to the older Mk's as they are mainly the only ones i ever play and forget about the newer. Excuse my arrogance towards the newer ones

I'm fairly similar in my ways of thinking. 2D MKs, and MK:DA (because I have a real soft spot for that one. Great game) are about the only ones that I really spin.
