Well, as far as Ermac is concerned, they should do something almost similar to what they did with UMK 3. Basically, the idea would be to have a special kombat kode in order to unlock characters, although some DLC for the game would not be a bad idea. Ermac was a little too complicated for me when I play UMK 3 or MKT. His kombos and moves were good, but hard to string together. Rain was only included in the SNES version of UMK 3 and Noob Saibot as well. Of course, in the Arcade Perfect versions, you can find Noob in Kahn's Treasure chest. One of the icons gives you a chance to fight with a series of ninjas in an endurance round. I cannot be for sure, but Ermac will make it. With Rain, it became way too easy to beat people. He has a 5 hit kombo that sends his opponent flying across the screen, which can easily be repeated. Also, if you are able to, an infinite can be formed with his Force Ball and Summon Lightning abilities. All in all, it does a huge amount of damage. There is a slim but sure chance, but I do not think Rain will be in the new MK. Twisted Evil

I mainly Believe that Rain could be included, but with a moveset more similar to his MK: a incarnation, the game that actually made him somewhat important, considering he was the 3rd son of Argus.

Still, the lighning summon would be good, though we could leave out the rainball XD

Ermac is... just something special. His MK: D incarnation is an absolute favorite for me in terms of looks.

I really think they can do some amazing things with Ermac... if he's in.

Not so, both Rain and Noob Saibot are playable from the get-go in the Sega Genesis version of UMK3 as well. I'll admit Rain's roundhouse kick move was kind of odd and over-the-top but they sort of just tossed him into the game last minute. His lightening summon could also be cheap - if you time it just right you can keep juggling someone in the air and they can't stop it. That said, Noob Saibot's cloud projectile is probably the cheapest move in MK history since it prevents your opponent from being able to perform any moves and even blocks for several seconds. Noob also had the easier 4 hit combo - press low kick 4 times in a row.

Thanks for that update, Amphibious. I forgot that I never played UMK 3 on the SEGA Genesis. However, I still think if he is added in, it should be as DLC, not as a part of the original beginning cast. Still, Rain and Noob Saibot were only playable in the SNES and SEGA Genesis versions not the arcade perfect versions.

True they weren't in the arcade as playable but Rain was in the arcade's attract mode and I think Noob Saitbot was as well. Mind you Noob Saibot was in MK2 and even MK3, though he was a blacked-out Kano sprite in the latter.

I really don't recall ever seeing Noob in MK3. I've defo fought him in MKII, and UMK3, but I don't remember seeing him in the regular edition of MK3. Was he one of the treasures at the end of game?

He was a non-playable character in MK3 via a kombat kode. He was just a blacked-out Kano pallette with some of Kano's moves and could be fought on "Noob's Dorfen" which was a background very similar to "The balcony". Here are the sprite rips for him:

Yeah you just put in the Vs's code in to fight noob and who ever wins the match can fight him, They did the same with smoke and you would go to the "Lost" stage to fight him. Lost wasnt in mk3 besides when fighting smoke. Good times.

This game really needs to include both those characters. They were present in UMK3 and as such should be playable, especially with the number of selectable characters available on the roster.

i totally agree they were in UMK3 they must be in it

Ya they are both awsome and it would be a true shame if they did not make it in.
