Not a bad trailer, but considering we got to see a lot more in the E3 trailer, it's a bit of a disappointment. I was hoping to see some new characters get confirmed or something. I thought the music was pretty good for it though.

Good clip but im with bloodyshadow on this one as the music doesnt sound anything like Mortal Kombat. Sounds like someone has just put their favorite song over the clip. I dont like it but everyone has their own taste in music so no offence intended.

Regardless of MY taste in music (Even though I DO think Disturbed is awful) I meant it more along the lines of "Mortal Kombat with ANY licensed music over it is shitty."
Even if I LOVED the song being played over the trailer, it would be shitty. The idea of putting "REAL" media over it brings it too close to the real world and ruins the experience. It really should have been a big, epic piece of original music... like the first trailer.

The more I think about this, the more I like it. The lyrics suit when taken out of their original context and used fro MK's way of life instead.
"The indulgence of our lives has cast a shadow on our world.
Our devotion to our appitites betrayed is all."
In the album version there is a lot more to this. Basically the track is about how man-kind fucked the planet and "left us with another way to die"
Now, if you think about this one from an MK point of view, the "appitite" in the lyrics could very well be the "insaitable bloodlust" of the Kombatants, which helped bring the Armageddon.

If any music was going to be used, I think something more brutal would suit the trailer. Disturbed has too much of a commerical sound to it

I don't think Death Metal would really work. With the Disturbed track it has that typically Disturbed groove to it, which works well with a flurry of punches at MK's speed. The speed in everything (except the vocals) in most Death Metal would be far too fast to suit the tempo of MK's fighting style.
