well wat can i say this is a poll made to decide wat shang tsung should be able to do in mk9 in the old mks he could morph into everyone in the game but in mkda, deception and Armageddon i don't recall him being able to morph into anyone.now mk9 if he could morph into anyone hed probably make it as 1 of the bosses.but when he had his own moves and stuff he was pretty good with out morphing.i think he should be able to do both wat do ya think? _________________ This is where i was born. This is where you will pay!

I think he should be able to do both just because that's what Shang Tsung is known for pretty much and since the game is going back to it's roots _________________

With the tech they have in the consoles now, it shouldn't be too hard to have a 3D character morph into others.
Also, I'm just wondering which, if any, of the Shang Tsungs they're gonna have in the game.

As far as I can remember, in the making of MK:DA they pretty much stated that he didn't morph because it was too awkward with 3D models. They said the only real way they could work it, was if there was a puff of smoke, and when the smoke disappeared a different character would have replaced Tsung, giving the illusion of morphing. Having said that though, that was using the tech they had then. Perhaps now things would be different. _________________ Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen!

There is always the option of switching to character moves without morphing into the character model…would cut out a lot of the technical problems that morphing could create. I do still favor morphing though. _________________

Then he'd be like Shinnok in MK4. They could just go with the way he "morphed" in his fatality in MK vs DCU *shudder*.

I don't like the idea of just changing his move set. The whole idea of morphing in the first place was to trick the opponent, and to play a degree of mind games with them. Simply copying their style really wouldn't have the same effect. Even if he was to copy, say, Kung Lao's moves- For the hat throw, he'd have to materalize a hat out of thin air. Or for Stryker's moves, all of a sudden Shang Tsung would be packing a pistol. It really wouldn't work in my oppinion. _________________ Brutal honesty will be shown on this screen!

I agree completely with you guys the move set change is a bad idea. I just feel that if they can’t pull off the morphing well, they shouldn’t do it at all…They can always have Shang perform a move that suggests a summon…have a character kinda come out of the ground (like the first movie) and have Shang jump off screen for a bit and reappear once the character has taken a certain amount of damage…or have him teleport through the ground (to behind his opponent) and the buttons that are pushed during the move sequence will result in which characters reappear on the other side of the teleport. Really there are sooo many ways to get around the morphing problem. That is if there is a problem, which I doubt. _________________

Both, it's more fun that way.
I am in no mood for another Shinnok. _________________ I'm gonna marry Quan Chi some day...
