A question. I read the something in the storyline, and it said that when sub-zero was born, he had a brother. They both were kidnapped and their parents never to be heard from again. Now I know there were two sub-zero's in the movie, that makes sense. But in Mythologies, was that the older sub-zero in the movie, or the younger one in Annilation?
Also, how do all the characters keep coming back in the games? I know most of them were resurrected, but not all.

Its pretty much basically on popularity. Boon and Tobias' story on scorpion was suppose to end him thats why he isn't in MK3. A crapload of request for scorpion to returned pretty much forced the creators to release UMK3 which is just another version of the original MK3. So itsa pretty much on popularity. Now the sub zero thing. I think the Mythologies is about the younger SZ because the older SZ didn't have a feud with Scorpion, Quan Chi or even the elder gods. I hope you know the younger one is the one with the scar.
Anyways, The younger SZ had been a marked man by the Lin Kuei ever since his older brother was killed. So thats why he always acts like he has nothing to lose because he simply doesn't. Does this answer your question?

I'm confused now. If the younger Sub Zero always had that scar, which Sub Zero is in Mortal Kombat 2? He hasn't got a scar, but the older Sub Zero was killed in the first MK, wasn't he??

Forget the movie storylines, they are wrong most of the time. The sub-zero is the 5th sub-zero and his brother, the 6th will be there after mk1.

Sub-Zero from mythologies is the older, he kills scorp in mythologies while trying retrieve an amulet for Quan Chi. Scorpion returns to avenge is death in MK1, and kills the older in the tournament. MK2-DA is the younger brother
