I'll tell you when the game comes out, but I can already tell you Johnny Cage (nunchukus AND Jeet Kune Do {think Bruce Lee}? Hell yeah!) and Scorpion (Hapkido!!!!!!!) will be on there.... that is assuming I don't get so sick of having too much Scorpion media available and decide not to select him for awhile. (which is likely going to happen.... there's way too many Scorpion movies/screenshots out there, now. It's not pissing me off or anything, only "burning me out" on him--literally, I'm getting sick of seeing him. I think the antidote is to go "Scorpion free" for a few weeks.  ) Anyways, in a surprise more, though, I think that Jax is shaping up to be a good charater, too.... but only time will tell.

All of my votes are complete guesses, except Scorpion and Rayden, I'm about positive that those two will remain at the top, for the last six, I have no idea whether or not I'm gonna like them at all, let alone be in my top 8.

Why does everybody hate Jax? Yeah he's been in the game for a while, but so has most of these people. His story may not be the best, but he's as strong as crap with those arms.
Basically, there are three types of fighters in MK.
1. Fast-Paced: Use speed against their enemies(ninjas, women)
2. Power Based: Uses some kind of conjured powers most of the time(sorcerers, sometimes regular fighters)
3. Powerhouse: Just don't let them get in close range because they can deal some serious damage(Jax, Shao Kahn, etc)
What I'm just trying to say is cut him some slack. He's not that bad.

He is just a male Sonya.All he do is help her.He never have a story of his own.And he might be strong,but there are stronger and cooler chracters.I just find military soldiers boring.He has no personality(just hear him talk in his mk4 ending.He sounds like a robot).I hate those metal arms.
He's getting so old.I think even Liu Kang is/was better than him.Oh yeah,he's not really original.He's a male Sonya,but now he stole Stryker's gun shot.His projectile in MK2 was just a pink sonic boom(Guile's projectile).In MK3 he copy T-1000 from Terminator 2(although it was a cool fatality)and Godzilla(lol).
But hey,here's positive things about Jax
He has cool fatalities
In MK2,he was fun to use
In MK2 and MK3,he was cute(looked old and weak in mk4.Now,he no longer has his mustache,and has that wacky look)
Both Jarek and Sonya dies in his mk4 ending
He is fun as Hell to kill(especially in MK4.I think he's gonna be alot of fun to kill in MK:DA.)
Now,i wonder,why can't they come up with a new black character?

I agree with the gun thing... I don't think Jax should've had a gun. Leave that for Styrker. Jax's been a thievin' again.....

Jax was the Soldier Because he was the Army to war up with Kano and for now on he is goin to killed Kano and Mavado!!!(I'm not sure but don't ask me!!!)
Also i think that Jax and Sonya got broke up together....
