The quick-time event style move made me chuckle. I'm sure if the fans complain about him being overpowered, then the team at Netherrealms would be able to patch the game to nerf him a bit.

yeah, lets hope so...he looks awesome but seriously overpowered. This has nothing to do with Kratos but I'm considering getting this for my Xbox360 rather...dont have many friends that play MK on my PS3...so this really doesn't effect me at all, but by the looks of things there is gonna be some serious bitching about Kratos when people start playing this online. Maybe I'm wrong.

Yes ed boon said that xbox will be getting an exclusive too but it wont necisarily be a character, well more like implied it but still its probly true

It is probably just some alternative costumes and stuff...which actually doesn't bother me all that much because I'm not one of those fellas who gets all hyped about the introduction of a foreign character into the MK world...suppose I'm a purist of sort...its why i never really played with the characters from the DC universe in the last MK.

yeah i didnt relly play with the dc characters either, i got all the endings but i didnt relly do all the kombo challenges, sometimes they were relly hard and i didnt use them online that much at all.

No, after a lot of effort I did manage to get all the combo challenges done, but i never played with DC characters online, I really just did them for bragging rights amongst my mates...funny thing is I am actually a hardcore comic book fan...I just did not like the idea of the two worlds mixing at all.
MK is MK and its rather sacred to me that way, the tone, the mythology, the mystical essence of its story...I dont like when its tampered with.

yeah me either and what kinda sucks was the game was relly short and didnt have dlc like it was intended, i wish midway had more time. definitly not the best mk but still pretty good.

Yeah, I still enjoyed the game but primarily because it was half MK...I still maintain that if WB made another version of that game without MK characters in it at all, but rather an entire fighting game based on the DC universe it would be pretty damn cool...I think the only reason most MK fans were apprehensive of it in the first place was because of the cross-over. It was not a bad game...it was just not the MK we were used to.
So I think especially after MK vs DC...MK fans are maybe still a bit sensitive about the inclusion of a foreign character. Kratos seems like an obvious choice...but just cause you can doesn't always mean that you should. But hey, it doesn't really affect me in any way, but i would like to hear what some of PS3 owners here think.

As of now, I have become slightly disenchanted with Kratos.
In the video, his fighting style seems bare and cheasy, giving way too many references to the God of War games (i.e. Medusa Head, one-button attacks). It doesn't seem as if much can be done with Kratos' style, but I hope it was just the video showing us very little of Kratos.
I still can't get it out my head that he was in Soul Calibur first.

I got PS3 and getting it on PS3 but i think they should include all the classic fighters before adding new. Thing is im old school mk fan and would rather all the fighters classic. Not much i can do if they dont but yeah im not a fan of new fighters at all.
What im after is the MKT cast ,all the fighters and bosses. Then a crazy storyline about the MK events over 1,2 and 3 <(i hear they are doing this)wich is great. Also i think a blood code so it can pass any laws about mass gore. Same as mk1 on sega gen/megadrive, gore problem solved. Anyway classic not plastic!

The story of the game goes as follows: "Shao Kahn has finally defeated Raiden and his Earthrealm warriors, and the only way to prevent Armageddon is by defeating him in the past." A lot of people from the first 5 games (MK-MK:T) are supposed to return. Now, the kast list is not going to be as large as MK:Ar, but potentially as big as MK:T or UMK 3 (between 25-32 characters).
