I think that the spear looks wicked in MKDA. The way it is on his back, it makes more sence then it just mysteriously poping out of his hand.

Notice though, that while he's alive in MK: Mythologies: Sub-Zero, Scorpion doesn't use the spear. Or at least, I've never had him use the spear on me. Then, later in the same game when you encounter him in the Netherealm, Scorpion's throwing his newfound spear all over the place. I think his weapon of choice definitely has some supernatural qualities in both the games and the movies.

When Scorpion was alive, he had a blade attached to the end of a rope that he threw at his opponents. This, along with his swords and axe like weapon, comprised his weapons in the Shirai Ryu clan.
It is not merged with him. In the games, you see that he is throwing something.
Try it- press back back low punch, and have it miss your opponent- the rope goes flying by them.

This post is to Hydro's last post. I thought that Takeda was stung by a sorpion that had some guy named Hanzo's soul in it. Hanzo was killed by Sub-Zero, and Hanzo's family was killed by Quan-Chi. When Takeda was stung, the soul passed through the stinger, causing Takeda to turn into an ultimate undead being, Scorpion. This is what I heard from a source.
