Hey there. I'm new, but I've been lurking for a month now.
What if the two parts that have to be combined to form a whole "Big Suprise" Could be Moloch and Liu Kang, which could in some way be combined to form the Dragon King? It's a reach, I know, but I think it'd be the newest and most exciting way to unlock a hidden character...
And also, I know about the Quan and Shang alternating end boss thing, but I think it would have been awesome to have had to fight them both at the same time. An endurance and boss fight all at once.
Just some ponderings.

The Moloch and Kang thing is a HUGE stretch especially considering that I think they may have made it clear that the "Dragon King" will not appear in this MK. I like your idea though.
However the endurance battle between Quan and Shang would make perfect sense especially considering that's how they eliminated Liu Kang, the last champion of MK. Well, it's not that way so we better dream on.
