PSM gave it an 8, a bronze award, and a must buy. That's pretty freakin good for a game that most casual fans thought would be crap. Still, it's slightly dissapointing, especially when the review says that it doesn't stack up to Tekken 4, which in my opinion is a complete piece of garbage. I only read what was posted at the MK netherealm (part of the review was torn off or something). I'm guessing that EGM will give it an 8 and two 7's most likely. IGN will probably give it an 8.4 and Gamespot will probably give it a 7.8 but that's just my prediction. So it looks as though we have an above average but not great game. Still, I'm hoping for higher scores. 4 more days!!
Oh, and they said that the Konquest mode (training mode) was great and a wonderful innovation. They said that the game has a ton of replay value (obviously) and while a few characters (Hsu Hao) were a bit generic, most of the characters were really well designed etc (I'm paraphrasing). I knew it wouldn't be as "deep" as VF4 but Tekken 4? C'mon PSM! You think that MK:DA isn't as balanced as Tekken 4? That game is COMPLETELY unbalanced. I like how EGM put it "some characters, (Bryan Fury) have been completely neutered." I'll be watching for more reviews,  but hell, I'm getting it no matter what! Hey, an 8 is better than a lower score right?

Not a damn thing! I went and bought it when it came out, played it for a couple of days and never went back. I was very surprised on all the high scores for it. Never liked the virtual fighter series but I thought I would give that one a try since it was getting such rave reviews, bad mistake.
But you know, reviews don't mean anything to me. I've played games that I LOVED and they scored low, while other games that have scored really high I hated. It's all in the eye of the beholder, and I already have high regards to MK:DA no matter what people score it.

I thought Virtua Fighter 4 was ok, but my favorite fighter so far is Bloody Roar Primal Fury... but MK is King of them all!

PSM giving MKDA an 8 is a COMPLIMENT.
Ordinarily, their reviews are seriously skewed. I mean, EGM went nuts over GTA Vice City giving it 9s and 10s but PSM scored it lower. I'm trust EGM and GamePro the most as the majority of their reviews are done by 4 people, not just one single schlepp.

That's a good score for MKDA. Bear in mind a lot of Playstation mags are Tekken arsekissers, so they'll always say nothing matches it.
The Tekken series sucks.
