Part I: My review
Well, I picked up MK:DA from Electronics Boutique today, and so far I've logged in about six hours on it. The graphics, while not spectacular, are certainly good, the highlight being the backgrounds. The gameplay itself takes some getting used to. THIS IS NOT A GAME YOU CAN JUST JUMP INTO. If you don't know the combos or at least how to start them, you will hate this game. Konquest mode is a great way to hone your skills and get used to not only individual characters, but the battle system itself. Still, I wish that the characters had more moves in each stance. I know that's asking much, but I would've taken less characters and more moves/move variety over more characters and less moves. What people have asked before can now be answered. Does this feel like Mortal Kombat? Most definitely YES. The blood (and there's a LOT of it), the sound effects, the fatalities, etc all scream MK. Don't be fooled though into thinking this game will be like the last few however. You'll notice right away that every old character has a classic move or two missing. But that's okay. Once you get into the game, you'll forget that Sub Zero doesn't have his slide move (I don't count his throw move), and that not ONE character that I've seen yet can teleport. Strange, but it works. The battles are fun, but the meat of this game is in the Koin system. Unlocking stuff is fun, and obviously there's a BUTTLOAD to unlock. What matters most though? What I just said, this game is F-U-N. It's deep, intuitive, and if you can convince your friends to take a character or two through conquest mode, you'll be gambling with your buddies in no time.
+ The Krypt is huge (you will not unlock everything in a week, much less a weekend...well, unless you're insane)
+ Impaling moves rock
+ It feels like MK without being a rehash
+ Konquest mode helps get the hang of things and is also fun to do
+ Awesome replay value, I'll be hibernating for months with this game
In many ways this is the first Mortal Kombat because it's so drastically different in so many ways. So with that, there are plenty of things they could do for the sequel (if there is one)
- More moves per character
- Better endings (WITH A REAL BOSS THIS TIME ED!!). They really aren't FMV...what a shame.
- While the Krypt is cool, there is still a lot of krap in there. Oh well, it's still sweet!!
Overall...I give it an 8.7 out of 10
*SPOILERS*
So far I've found this stuff out from playing conquest:
YES as everyone knows, Liu kang is DEAD
YES Sheeva is DEAD, she was betrayed by Kano and killed by Shao Khan
YES Kabal is DEAD, he was killed by Mavado (and he took Kabal's hook swords)
YES Kenshi was tought the telekenetic slam by Ermac
YES There really are 28 blank squares where each character's ending sequence goes. Now either not all of the squares gets filled in, or some characters have multiple endings, or there are some other movies unlocked there or we've got five more hidden characters coming our way.
Well, that's all I remember off the top of my head. I'm going back to play now ) Everyone that's played the game, write your own review on this post, I'd like to know what other people think. Oh, and if I can get a fan tilt on that 8.7 score, I'd give it a 9.5 easy. But I just didn't want to do it that way. _________________ Thousands of years ago....You know the rest.

I played the game until 4 in the morning, crazy considering I'm in college right now, but that'll tell a lot of you how addictive the game is. I'd rate it about an 8.4. Not quite a nine because of a lot of things. The krypt has a lot of unneccessary, stupid things to unlock. One fatality per character (at least that's the way it looks so far), making fatalities old quick. I've already seen too many ppl's fatality too many times. A few have already gotten old on me (IN ONE DAY!). Performing combos is quite difficult for some/most characters. Other than all that, the game is a huge step up from any MK out there. Also, I've already beaten the game with Scorpion (of course, look at my name) and it's a very dissappointing ending, but he still runs the show. _________________ I'm back once again......I'm in need of a new avatar......Anyone that may want to help send a PM

Of course, death in MK doesn't mean shit.Mileena is an example.Speaking of Mileena,is she mentioned or shown somewhere in the game?
How do Mavado kills Kabal? Is it just straight forward, with Kabal dieing without even fighting,or is it a nice little fight?
