I wonder if the characters who were greyed out at E3 will be locked. That would be kina cool, having to unlock tha many characters. Don't get me wrong, I wish Cage was selectable right away, but it's really fun to earn the right to play as your favorite character. (Like Luigi in Super Smash Bros Melee)
Or maybe they will be selectable, but others will be locked. What's you opinion?

Well.. that would be cool, like in Soul Calibur, when U have finshed everything U have twice the char's you first had... well.. and CHEESY he's just making a example...

the unplayable characters wern't playable because their models weren't ready.

i think they should put ALL the MK characters OLD and NEW in it! coz otherwise, you could take years unlocking them!!!

Well no duh the models weren't ready, but it would be cool to unlock so many characters. Like Tekken 3. (I hate that game, but unlocking characters made me keep playing.) They never said we'd be able to selecet all of those characters right off the bat, either. However, Gamespot mostly talked about Cage and Scorpion, so I'm sure they'll be unlocked when the game begins.

Perhaps not by todays' over-inflated, 60+ characters, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 standards, but back when the very first Mortal Kombat hit arcades, there were only seven, count 'em, seven selectable characters. And despite its age, I doubt you'll find too many true MK fans decree the game that started it all to be any less fun to play just because you're only given seven kombatants to throw into the Pit.

Hey in my case for MK1 there were only SIX characters to play as there was a fault so Sonya couldn't be selected

Did you know Sonya=Varonica Vaughn? and if you only start with 8 characters then its like Ready 2 Rumble, and other fighting games that require unlocking
