What about Chameleon? He had every one of the other ninjas' moves plus he could blend into any background and become invisible. I'd pick chameleon.

Top 5 faves
1) Reptile (I played as Reptile a lot in MK2, and spit acid at Shang Tsung to death, hahaha! Well, MK2 was the first MK game I ever got, still love it, and Reptile's always gonna be #1! I still have my old, but fabulous fanart of Reptile as a bust, you know, like those statuettes? in 3d too, kinda...)
2) Scorpion (My nickname, lol lame i know but it's "Scorpion Boy". And I can't resist those famous lines "COME HERE" and "GET OVER HERE!" Love his character... his story in MK Trilogy's the best. Meaning he don't take crap from anyone!)
3) Sub-Zero (The Freeze-Man! Merciless, like his character lots as well. I know back when I was so much of a junkie in middle school, there was this one fanfic I did which Sub-Zero, in his merciless way, was slowly freezing one of my characters. I'll have to get that off the computer and retype it, make it a little less cheesy too.)
4) Smoke, the human. (A mysterious character... I like mysterious characters...)
5)Noob Saibot (another mysterious character! I developed it some more in my most suspenseful MK fanfic I've been currently working on. I think I done well so far on it *look it up on Xerogaming.com if interested, 4 chapters so far. Good ole Reptile's in it too!*)
I like all the ninjas really, including the females too. But those are my top five so

Well I can not prefer one over another they are : Scorpion,Smoke and Subzero for their plot and usefulness.
for usefulness only : ( this one is sorted )
