Quan Chi's ending is awesome, yet kinda weird. He double crosses Shang Tsung and kills Kano, in the event of killing Shang Tsung souls thousands of souls are being frantically flying through the room. When he kills Kano, he realizes that Kano remains standing before him, but it's not Kano anymore, the soul of Liu Kang has entered Kano's body after fleeing Shang Tsung.....pretty cool eh?

im with u on the liu kang soul in Kano thing. Suprised me to say the least. So there is hope for all of those Liu Kang fans in the next Mortal Kombat (If Ed Boon wants to make another one)

OMG! Liu Kang's soul entering Kano's body? Such stupid things I've seen in Xena and I really hated'em. Does anything happen next? If yes, I hope Quan kix Liu Kano's ass!

Liu Kangs soul in Kanos body? This could get very interesting in a MK6. I mean, Kano can't return because an other dude has control of his body. And if Liu Kang returns in MK6 he will be in Kanos body?? But I'm pretty sure that Boon and Tobias will find a clever solution for this. Since death doesn't mean a shit in Mortal Kombat. But otherwise, it's only a what-would-happen-if ending, isn't it?

No, nothing happens next. *Continued spoiler*.......................The last freeze frame shows Quan Chi scared out of his misery at a glowing green Kano with Liu Kang's soul now in his body.

I know this has nothing to do with your post, or thread, but you seem to know everything that is Mortal Kombat so heres my question:
Is Rain a secret character or did I fall subject to galibalism?
p.s. I havnt even heard of Rain until People started posting, or threading, that they have unlocked him.

Man, that ending is one of my favorites. I was like hey, cool when I saw it. Liu was gonna beat Quan Chi down, man. lol
No, Rain is not even mentioned in the game, at least yet. I think he died just like his MKT ending stated.

Galibalism??? LOL  I've never seen that word before in my life. I'm curious to know what it means. Also, I DO NOT know everything that is Mortal Kombat, hell I'm sure I don't know anymore than any other fan or person that has played Deadly Alliance. It appears my progress is behind a lot of people on this board alone. Not to mention those other Kombataholics that claim they've bought all of the koffins already out there.

I'd love for MK6 to follow through with this ending. It's very compelling...and yeah...I admit it - it would be hilarious seeing Kano doing bicyle kicks.
If they were to do this, I've allready have a BIO and an ending written up for "Liu Kano"...

MK6 SETUP Plot Line (narrated by Raiden)

After Kano mudered Shang Tsung in the last tournament, the absorbed soul of Lui Kang was set free only to witness Quan Chi turn on Kano and syphon his very life. Thirsting for revenge, the soul of Liu Kang takes up residence in Kano's body and challenges Quan Chi but Quan Chi flees. Upon serious explaination regarding his new body, Liu Kang appeals to Sonya and Jax for any information on the socerer's whereabouts. According to Cyrax, there are reports that the sorcerer is taking refuge in the Outworld. With this information, Liu Kang departs for the Outworld and is never heard from again...
{17 years later}
(Cut to live scene of The Portal where Raiden is shown talking to Earths new warriors...)
All the realms are sqaused by The Dragon King and Quan Chi, except for one...the realm of the Elder Gods themselves. Left without mortal followers, the Elder Gods have grown weak. I warned them all those years ago that this would happen for their procrastination and now Quan Chi and the Dragon King openly defy them. They foolishly believe that it they destory the Gods, they will become Gods themselves. But the truth is much more saddening: if they succeed in destroying the weakened Elder Gods, they will UNMAKE all existance. That's why I'm using what's left of my own strength to...
(Raiden is interupted by furious noise from the portal - figures emerge...one bearing a strong resemblance to the late Kintaro, another wearing Shao Kahn's helmet and armor, and the last one resembling a shadow priest)
"...prepare for battle!", booms the 4-armed beast.
(Raiden turns...)
"Kintaro?"
"Close...he was my grandfather yet we share the name. Although we have disagreements in the past, we can't allow Quan Chi and the dragon king to erase all of existance, either. With the death of Shao Kahn, his close general Reiko has stepped forward and took the reins of his army. Reiko, Kitana, and my people have since been at a truce due to these pressing matters we have at present. We are here to join you...that's if you're not preparing to run and hide..."
Raiden bows, "I accept your help, but it won't be easy. In order to get to Quan Chi, we have go through the Dragon King and his army. The Dragon King is so powerful, I don't foresee a way to stop him..."
(Reiko intructs the shadow priest silently. The shadow priest walks over to Raiden and hands over an object)
"This artifact will put the Dragon King and his army in stasis and counteract Quan-Chi's amulet. This will give us the leverage we need. But this artifact can only be utilized by the Elder Gods and the effectiveness only lasts for a few hours - long enough to hold a tournment in Mortal Kombat. Quan Chi will be amused...but he can also fall. Take it to them, God of Thunder. Convince them to use what's left of their power and activate it. I may only be a priest but even priests are trained warriors in their own right."
(the shadow priest pauses to bow at Kung Lao in respect)
"My name is Paenitens, Thunder God, and Lord Reiko grants me permission to serve you if you so desire."
Kintaro walks forward and growls, flexing all four hands menacingly, "From there, our combined strength should be enough to put that sorcerer and his overgrown lizard out of commission for good, restoring order among all the realms...temporarily, of course...", Kintaro adds, with a sidelong glace at Reiko.
Reiko's eyes behind the skull headress glower back in response. "You all fail to realize that if I win...you'll all serve me, including the dragon king."
Kintaro roars, "That toad serves no one but itself! As for you winning...HAHA! You'll have to get through me."
"Enough," Raiden says, "I accept."
"You have no other alternative...", Reiko glowers again after Raiden disappears.
(Camera fades to black as the warriors prepare...)

Paenitens

BIO: Not much is known about this mysterious Shadow Priest of Shao Kahn but he apparently has sworn his
loyalty to his successor, Reiko, and serves him unfailingly. Upon arriving, he handed a strange artifact
to Raiden, stating that it negates Quan Chi's amulate and renders the Dragon King and his undeed army
useless once activated by the Elder Gods. However, since he does serve the forces of evil, the true
properties of this artifact could be shrouded in as much mystery as the very shadow priest himself.
ENDING (Narrated By Raiden):
"I must admit that, despite his name meaning the repetant one in Latin, I never entirely
trusted Paenitens. Now, I regret every single doubt I've harbored against him. Upon his battle with
Quan-Chi, Paenitens emitted a primal scream of rage and removed his ceremonial robes, revealing his true identity
not only to me and the other warriors, but to a horror-striken Quan Chi as well, who had previously laughed in
contempt just moments before their battle - Paenitens was really Liu Kang, whose soul had occupied Kano's body 17 years
ago. Liu Kang broken many of Quan Chi's bones during their fight and used a butterfly knife to slit the evil
sorcerer's throat literally ear to ear. Shortly thereafter, Liu Kang's soul released itself from Kano's body and it
dropped motionlessly to the floor next to the dead Quan Chi - his revenge sastisfied once and for all...
"With all the realms at peace, I've become quite concerned over the well being of Kung Lao, who had regressed
into depression when Liu Kang left us a second time again without saying goodbye. I've tried to explain to
him that by keeping all of us in the dark with his masquerade, Liu Kang was able to save not only us but the
elder gods as well and that we might owe him a debt that none of us will ever repay - not in life, not in
death, and certainly not in the afterlife. At length, all I could do was give him the note that I had found
in Paenitens's robes. It said...be strong, my brother, for its our faith that says we'll never be away from
each other forever and that's why I didn't say goodbye. These 17 years in the outworld were an eternity
but now my soul can finally rest. As for you, you have business to attend as I leave you in charge. But don't
grieve for me, and don't grieve for yourself. I'm here with your great grandfather...and like him, we are both
proud of you and look forward to seeing you again when your time has come. Until then, be strong and faithful
despite everything! With love...Liu Kang."
