Gamespot: 8.1 "Great" for all three systems
IGN.com: 8.6 (I only checked Xbox)
Gamers.com: 8 out of 10
I'd just like to say that all three reviewers came off as being very jaded towards the Mortal Kombat franchise as a whole. They all basically said that the story is crap that no one cares about (I guess it's unthinkable to have a fighting game with a plot...oh well)
Jeff Gerstman reviewed the game for Gamespot. I'll say though that coming from him an 8.1 is a really good score. He's the stingiest reviewer I think I've ever seen. Plus the fact that he wasn't accurate on a few things (like actual koffin number etc) but I'll let that slide. IGN's review seemed much more accurate and while Gerstman whined that there's no uppercut, IGN actually took the game for what it is and knocks stuff that I dislike about the game as well (except for the sound. They said that the opening intro voice of Raiden is barely audible...What game were they playing??). The guy that reviewed it for Gamer's.com is John Davidson, and this guy seems to really hate this franchise. Still, while all of the reviews gave the same "we thought this game is dead but it's not" speech, there was much praise given out for the new fighting system and the new characters, and the loads of extras to unlock. Also, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, they make much effort to point out that the biggest selling point of the game is that it's just plain F-U-N fun, and that's what really matters isn't it?
OH, and I have unlocked Blaze and Mokap and beaten the game with all 23 available characters as well. I have a list of the fatalities etc, so if you need something, or you want to ask a question, post it up and I'll get back to you most likely tomorrow at the latest. I usually check this site once a day, so if you want to know anything, I can either answer you question or refer you to a site that can answer it. (such as what's in all of the koffins, I know a good percentage of them, but I'm only half way though. Still, I know where to get a FAQ that contains what's in every koffin.)
So yeah, I'm really diggin on this game right now. I think I'll go play.

First let me say that I too have beat the game with all 23 characters and cleared out the first 4 rows of koffins and cleared bout half of every row after that (Im guessing at that)
Now my first question is bout the fetalities for Blaze and Mokap. Do they have fetalities? If so, can you please enlighten me to how theyre done?
My second question has to do with a kinda popular rumor that has been floatin around bout another hidden character. Do you beleive there is any truth top the possibilty to unlocking Rain? _________________ DO I want to kill you? No . . . . But will i? . . . . why not?

Nope, sorry, but I'm pretty sure Rain isn't in it, but we can always hope. (I never really liked him, but I wouldn't mind seeing him, or any other returning character again!) _________________ Those were $500 sunglasses, asshole.
