Unlike the horribly innacurate PSM review of MK:DA, I myself and just about every other review I've seen seem to think that the game is incredibly balanced as far as characters go. That said there's always a best and worst and who's in between. Here's my list from top to bottom as far as who the best characters and who are the worst. I'm rating on fighting ability (ie moves and combos), ease of use, and cool factor (look and story) and my own tilt, so here we go:
Kenshi: 10, 10, 10, 10: 40
Frost: 10, 9, 10, 10: 39
Cyrax: 10, 8, 10, 10: 38
Shang Tsung: 10, 10, 9, 8: 37
Sub-Zero: 9, 9, 10, 9: 37
Sonya: 10, 9, 7, 10: 36
Scorpion: 10, 10, 9, 7: 36
Kitana: 8, 9, 8, 10: 35
Kano: 9, 8, 7, 10: 34
Cage: 10, 9, 6, 9: 34
Li Mei: 8, 8, 8, 9: 33
Quan Chi: 7, 9, 9, 8: 33
Jax: 8, 8, 9, 7: 32
Nitara: 7, 8, 10, 7: 32
Reptile: 8, 10, 7, 6: 31
Mavado: 6, 6, 10, 8: 30
Blaze: 8, 7, 7, 7: 29
Kung Lao: 9, 7, 8, 5: 29
Drahmin: 5, 8, 9, 6: 28
Raiden: 6, 6, 9, 6: 27
Hsu Hao: 6, 7, 4, 6: 23
Mokap: 8, 6, 2, 7: 22
Bo Rai Cho: 5, 5, 3, 7: 20
Obviously this is just my opinion, what do you think?

Before I participate in your character ratin' thing here. What's what? I mean what are each of the numbers rating? Once you tell me that, tell me why you felt that Kenshi was perfect. Along with that, why is my boy Scorpion rated under so many fighters. Of course, I'd put em' at the top, Kenshi and Rayden being a tie for second. Speaking of Raiden, why in the hell do you feel he should get such a low rating. Not bashing your system, but the only REAL thing you look like you rated here was ease of use. Even for that, the list needs a little adjustment. Like you said, it's your opinion though and you're entitled to that, but I'm jus' wonderin' how and why?
BTW, you have Blaze and Mokap already? Man, no disrespect, but do you have a life outside this board and that game? If so, how'd you get em' so quick?

I don't think Cage deserves a 10 on fighting ability because he doesn't have any high-end combos. He relies mostly on speed and strategy, rather than hitting hard and fast. Scorpion is the one character I've noticed that can use both to beat someone. Though he sin't the fastest character in the game, he can win with strategy, high-end combos, or speed (only hapkido is really fast enough to qualify, but it works.)
So honestly, Scorpion is one of the top characters. I do believe that it's ridiculous some of the combos he can pull off (just like the strategy guide says) but it still can't be denied.
