I dislike Sindel because she is weakin my opinion, Shang sung is a bastard because he kill liu kang (the chosen one),and Shao Kahn because he is so hard to beat in my opinion.

Oh, Johnny Cage sucks too. forget the fact that he's my favorite character--he sucks! ....and Scorpion, and Sub-Zero. Liu Kang? oh yeah, he sucks. Sonya Blade sucks in both the good AND the bad ways. Jax, Kai, and Sindeel--hell yeah, they're the coolest.

I've loved Scorption since MK1 and since I didn't have Scorption in MK3, I picked Cyrax just because the color reminded me of him! After a while I got to like Cyrax as well.
I don't think he's over-rated. Lui Kang is over rated and he got what he deserved. In my opinion, Scorpion was always under-rated, i mean the big players were always Sub Zero, Lui Kang, Raiden and Sonya.
Scorpion is a Hell-Spawned Spirit of Vengeance with a bad attitude to boot, what the hell isnt there to like?
I'm very happy he got the attention he deserved in MK: DA. Maybe in MK6 he can be a bigger player, give him some new moves, a new storyline, and let him be the bad ass he deserves to be!

Scorpion is just a fool.He couldn't even find out who his family's true killer was until Quan Chi himself told him so!The whole concept of specter wanting revenge is old and overused anyway.Spawn does a much better job than Scorpion as a dead man wanting revenge.At least Spawn changed alot,Scorpion is still the same person who didn't even get his revenge yet.
Drahmin's better than Scorpion too.A warlord who was tortured for 500 years,which turned him into a monster interested in nothing more than killing and eating mortals.Now,tell me what there is not to like about this character?And the fact he become human in his ending shows that if he returns,he'll be different.Scorpion has never changed,and will never change.Unless he does change(which is unlikely),Scorpion will remains one of my most hated characters in MK.

Actually Spawn is a rip off of Ghost Rider, and since Scorpion came out before Spawn, I'd say that Spawn has undoubtedly been ripped of this character as well.
In MK: DA we learn a little more about Scorpion's powers, and his unrelenting drive. If you read the info on his story at The Realm of Warriors, you can see that all memory of his family's death had been erased prior to him entering MK 1. It's easy to see that much emphasis hasn't been put on his story since MK2.
The fact is because he was such an under-rated character, he never got the story arc he deserved. I mean every MK storyline revolved around Lui Kang and the Forces from Earth defeating Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn, or whoever. Scorpion's story was always left on the backburner. In MK Trilogy , his story was just added quickly because fans requested his return.

Ok,maybe Spawn is a Scorpion rip-off,but at least Spawn's story evolved alot.Just read 120 and see what happen in the end.Would something similar happen to Scorpion?No,he'll be hunting Quan Chi forever,and never get his damn revenge.Spawn found a way to humiate Jason Wynn,he killed Malebolgia,became king of Hell.Oh,and Scorpion is far from being underrated.How about Stryker,Li Mei,Drahmin and Moloch?These characters are what i call underrated.Especially Drahmin,since so many people are useless beginners.

I really don't like the ninjas that much. But I don't like Li Mei either.
This is my opinion: Yes Scorpion sucks, he is just out of time. Same story since MK1!!!!!! (CAN ANYONE BELIEVE THAT?? THE SAME STORY 5 TIMES!!!!). And ok, as someone posted, this is not a trilogy movie or something... But on the other hand he's got the same moves 5 TIMES, same spear, same "get over here", blah blah blah  In synthesis, he's soooo boring. For me, he's the most boring character, now. He doesn't even have a cool costume, now that he is not a sprite he could have get a better outfit, but no... he remained about the same (ok, some skull here and there, but IS the same...). I wouldn't even compare him to Mokap, since Mokap is just a filler and comical character, for sure he won't make it to MK6, and if he does he would be cooler then. But Scorp...? "get over here"... again.... Nooo... I wouldn't mind if he really dies or vanishes or something as his ending says...
But that is my opinion. The fact is Scorpion has a major fan base, like most of the original kombatants. Sub Zero, Sonya, Raiden, Reptile, Cage, Scorpion... They all have big fan base, so for sure they'll keep returning regardless of your personal likes. That's why I think Scorpion is just out of time, but he'll be back for sure.
On the other hand. Yes, I like Repite's new look. Reptile is a Reptile at last  . No, I don't want him as a ninja anymore, and he won't be for sure.
Yes Hsu Hao is terrible, the sketches of him were really cool, but they spoiled it in the final version (someone said he's a rejected Village People member )
And kano will deffinately be replaced by Mavado (yoo hoo). I hope he gets better for next MK.
I don't dislike Jax. But his story is gettin' lame. Since MK 4 he's been a hidden character and seems like Sonya's shaddow. If the made me choose between Jax or Sonya, i would choose Sonya of course. Sonya Rocks  muack! (Kiss of Death).

No offense to ya Stryker, but did we learn everything there is to know about Spawn in his first 5 comics? Not at all.
Unfortunately Scorpion doesn't have 120 comics to his name, but he has already made himself as a popular character. The only problem is that as a character, he's very under-rated. I mean in MK: DA the poor guy gets ripped apart. I wouldn't call that over-rated.
