Well of all the new charaters i think Kenshi is the one most likly to return. I wouldn't mind seeing Frost and Nitara back again to. The others don't make much of an impact on me. I mean lei me for example seams she was just stuck in for sex apeall. Bo Rai Chai is a fat bastard i can defently do without. As for the cyborg thing. Yes cyborgs are cool, but they don't fit in the MK universe to me. MK is not about machiens even if they are part human.

Kenshi this,Kenshi that,gee he really is overrated.He is boring,both storywise and gameplay-wise.He is nothing mysterious.He's just someone who was deceived by Tsung,and is now after him.And worst of all,he's with the goddamn special forces.Kenshi seems to me like someone who will get stale very quickly.I hope Mavado eliminates him.
Agree about Nitara.She has to return.Besides,she's pretty mysterious.And i always though MK lacked a vampire.Enough with the ninjas!
Frost isn't very important,but that doesn't matter,she should returns.Her past is said to be unknown,so why not reveal more?
Drahmin and Moloch seem both likely to return.Drahmin could look the same except with fresh skin and long hair(like seen in one of his sketches).Moloch is pretty mysterious.All we know is that like Drahmin he was banned to the netherealm.We don't know where he comes from.He is my favorite sub-boss,because he's different.
Mavado is another character i see returning.I see MK6 as his last game though.The Red Dragon seems pretty important now.They are related to the Lin Kuei.
I don't see Bo Rai Cho returning either.I liked him though.He was hilarious,and DIFFERENT!Damn,enough with the ninjas!
Hsu Hao will most likely get killed by Jax,but that would be too predictable.How about the other way around!Hsu should also kill Sonya and Cyrax,since they're both getting stale.
And now,Li Mei.Best new fighter in a MK game.Not just because of her beautiful look,but also because of her fighting styles and moves.She's fun to use.She ain't a ninja.Storywise,she is like Stryker and Nightwolf.She has potential,but isn't given a chance.If Stryker,Nightwolf or Li Mei were given a chance,their stories could become interesting.
Of course,everything i said here is just my opinion.

Liu Kano should NOT happen. If Liu Kang is to come back, have him comeback in a form that would make people turn their head. Liu Kang in Kano's body would be more than a character turn off. Seein' that Russian or Australian lookin' one eyed thug with a high-pitch chinese voice would not go right. Nightwolf should return. Along with......
Scorpion (yall knew I had to say him)
Sub-Zero (I'm gettin' tired of em' personally, but MK wouldn't be the same w/o him)
Bo Rai Cho (with a totally different look)
Shang Tsung (DEAD!, he should be in MK6 the way Liu Kang returned to MK:DA; WITH A STORY TELLING HOW RAIDEN KILLED HIM)
Raiden (he's a thunder god, shouldn't he have killed Shang a long time ago, I mean hell he summons lighting/thunder)
Sonya/Jax (so many ppl are sick of em', I personally love em' both)
Kung Lao (as the new MK champion, since Raiden isn't mortal)
Frost (she has great potential in DA)
Kitana (not as a selectable character, as a survivor whom chose to watch the tournament rather than compete)

Johnny Cage.
Kano. As Kano, not mixed with Lui.
Kitana.
Kung Lao.
Jade. With a new outfit different to Kitana.
Baraka. Or one of his race.
Kabal. Could have a new weapon.
Stryker. In more SWAT type gear. Body armour perhaps?

Sub-Zero defeated Sektor to become the Grand Matser of the Lin Kiue. What happened to Sektor or what he did after his defeat is not mentioned.

Of the new characters I want to see Kenshi,Nitara and Frost back.
Of the usual characters,they better not get the dumb idea of doing what they did to Liu Kang again with Scorpion or Sub Zero.

Sub-Zero: Yah, but cooler. Make him some look even older though, just to show that time has passed. Make him kinda like a better version of Gen Fu.
Smoke: Ninja, not cyborg. He's just a badass character in general. Cyborg could be the alt-costume.
Noob: Just to oppose the white Ninja.
Sonya: But with real lookin' tits this time.
Jax: You always gotta have a big black man, make him look older as well.
Raiden: Duh.
Reptile: As the Dragon King.
Sektor: With alt-costume, Ermac!
Mavado: Boi's tight yo. Just give him some better attacks!
Kenshi: I dunno... he's just cool.
Nitara: Slutty-dominatrixy-goth lookin' broad. Every game needs one.
Kung Lao: He should become God of Hats.
Shang: MK's just not the same without him... he needs his shape-shift back though.
Frost: Oh hell yah.
Cage: Every game needs a joke fighter. Hehe...
Kitana: Except make her a better fighter... her styles are annoying.
Jade: I like green?
Baraka: As prince of Eurasia or somethin'... I don't care, just bring him back.
Drahmin/ Moloch: Unlockables.
Blaze/Tsunami/Hurricane/Stone/Astro: Overused Elemental Theme Side Quest... I dunno... I think it'd be pretty nifty.
Kano: Power to the short people!
Samurai-Jack-esque Character: Old school fighter kinda guy.
Ken-esque guy: Street Fighter, somewhat like Cage.
Pepsi-Man: How cool would that be?
Palace Guard: Make him some sort of Master Fighter with small, precise movements.
Rain: Yup.
Bob: Citizen of outworld, and with a better name. He just wants a shot at eternity. He looks something like the sand-people offa Star Wars.
Sizzle: Automated entry from a race of robo-people.
Blade: Some spikey dude with blades everywhere.
Sven: An irrate swedish guy. His weapon is a Melon Hammer.
Liu Kang: Just for the hell of it.
Backgrounds:
Pits.
Living Forest.
Outworld.
Abandoned Place of Worship.
Some random building.
I dunno... I mostly want the Pits and Forest back, the rest I don't care about.
Story:
Aight, he'it'be: Liu Kang escaped from Kano's body, took over Quan Chi and morphed his body back to Liu's Shape with the help of the Elder Gods. He and Kung Lao are vying for Champion Status. Sub-Zero, it turns out, won this decade's tournament, pulled a few strings and brought Scorpion and his family back to life... reason being that since Subbie's brother killed Scorp's family or whatever, it's the least he can do. Scorpion, who is now eternally greatful is Sub's sworn protector (not that he needs it). Scorpion also now has a face (something which he sometimes had anyway). Reptile, who is now the Dragon King is fighting for recognition of his race. Kano and Mavado do their whole rivalry thing. Baraka is there to kill Shang Tsung. Why? Why not. The other, lesser ninjas all want to kill Sub-Zero, except for Smoke because smoke was his best friend growin' up. Sonya and Jax (it turns out) hooked up and are married. Raiden is still doin' his whole Normal-God-Gonna-Protect-Earthrealm thing. Everyone else has their usual storyline. The thing with the elementals... It's kinda like the mini-cons. People are just trying to get them to enslave them. The mini-game is you go around fighting people and when you beat an elemental, they are your servants til you die. The thing that intertwines everyone is this: Cyrax went ballistic and found out some way to destroy the fabric of the Universe. Cyrax, though I hate him, is this insanly powerful endboss with a bunches of cool moves. He's unlockable.
People who should die and fucking burn in hell:
Bo Rai Cho. He is the worst character ever to disgrace the MK universe. Also, Quan Chi... just kill him off already!
That's all I can think of.. Back to bed.

i'm from australia and we haven't got the game yet but i have seen screenshots and some ending stories. Mokap looks pretty --!#$@-- isn't he like a movie director or something
yeah they should have killed jax he needs to taste death like every other character has. Smoke should come back, leave sektor out he's dead he's history,
What will happen to all those throw in characters from mk3 like kabal
will they ever appear in mk again or did they just fill in to make up numbers
