Lol,the newbie acting like he speaks for everyone.No i don't hate all the "good" characters.I like Sub-Zero(both),Smoke(both),Frost,Kabal,Shang Tsung,Quan Chi,Johnny Cage,Reptile and Noob Saibot.
Sub-Zero isn't getting stale,like Scorpion.His story get better in every games he's in.He even had his own game.He has so many ways to stun the enemy,which is why he never get old.
Reptile,well,his story was getting a little repetitive,but it was interesting at least.Especially in MK:DA.
Johnny Cage isn't very stale.In MK:DA,they reveal that his "deaths"were only part of his movie"MK:the death of Johnny Cage"in which his character was repeatedly killed and resurrected.If he was once again back from the dead,he would be stale.He looks cool and sexy in every games he's in.His moves and fatalities kick ass.The nut punch is a cooler trademark move than Scorpion's spear.Too bad it wasn't in MK:DA.
Well,i'm tired of typing,so to make it clear,i don't hate all popular characters.

J. Cage's nut punch was a cool lil' move, but I for one don't miss it at all. I actually never really cared much for Cage period. IMO he was only good in the first MK. He and Liu Kang had everyone beat with their quickness on the first one. Anyway, Scorpion without his spear would've really took away Mortal Kombat. Hell, people use that "Get over here" phrase he uses in jokes and conversation all the time. Taking away Scorpion's spear would've been like taking away Sub-Zero's freezing ability. A split and a punch can be done by any character in the game, they're all obvously flexible enough to do it and anyone can punch....so the move was too lame to carry into MK:DA. I was already shocked by the absence of Scorpion's teleport punch which made him one of the most fearsest characters in previous MKs.

I haven't played MK:DA yet so I don't have any opinions about its characters.
THE MOST OVERRATED MK CHARACTER EVER IS SHAO KAHN!!!!!!!!! Only because he's a boss it doesn't mean that he's the strongest of them all! Just think about his moves: a fireball like Ermac's and that annoying shit he had in MK2, nothing special. His shoulder slam- Nightwolf's is much better and when he goes up in the air you can easily give him an uppercut. And his other special moves: let's see: laugh, taunt - very effective indeed. As a character, he's crap too. In MKC he doesn't fight just once, Rayden would have kicked his ass, but he fuckin cheated. I won't say more about this bastard but HE IS the most overrated character in the MK history!!!
Smoke- strupid Scorpion/Sektor wannabe, IMO he's the second most overrated character, no matter in which form
Other overrated but not necessarily crappy characters:
Scorpion, cuz he's too popular. But he deserves it: kickass storyline(mostly), easy and powerful moves, his look suits his personality/status. And let's not forget his fatalities, my favorite is his second one from MK2.
Kitana- another one of my favorites but she's overrated because of her looks. Generally, she's pretty difficult to use but her fans are deadly
Goro- Kintaro is better in MKT
Reiko- Noob Saibot - replacement
Jade- again, because of her beauty

Check out the boards at mortalkombat.com where the Conquest fans are praising him non stop. I'm talkin about him only because I hate him and I will stop it cuz it'd make him more popular 
So please, no one speak abot Kahn, let's just forget him, OK? He's dead!

Kahn is so cool. He's the best boss of any fighting game. He's so mighty-looking and......OK I'M ONLY KIDDING MADCAT. I jus' wish they showed the battle Kahn vs. Quan Chi & Shang Tsung in the intro to the game like they showed how Kang got killed.

Scorpion, sub-zero, kung lao, kano,Quan Chi ,Li Mei ,kitana,and frost are good fighters in my opinion. Jax and Kenshi moves, story and Fatalities are boring.
