It actually does.
If they want kids to see this movie, they aren't going to put in much blood ... |
That still dosen't mean they won't do that. Probly not. But its posible.

they might the games are getting more adult and violent youre ment to be 18 to play MK4 and MK:DA so whats to stop them putting in lots of blood

I was reading updates
Robin Shou as Liu Kang.
Talisa Soto as Kitana.
Lynn "Red" Williams as Jax.
Sandra Hess may return as Sonya.
Linden Ashby might return as Johnny Cage.
Adoni Marophis as Quan-Chi.
Brian Thompson as Shao Kahn.
Paolo Montalban (from MK: Conquest) as Kung Lao.
Keith Cooke as Sub-Zero.
Dana Hee as Mileena.
Christopher Lambert as Raiden.
Either Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa or Bruce Locke as Shang Tsung.
J.J. Perry as Cyrax.
Donni Yen, Russll Wong and Johnny Yong Bosch will be in Mortal Kombat 3, possibly as Mavado. Scorpion will return.
Liu Kang, Sub Zero, Rayden, Kitana, Jax, Sonya, Scorpion, Quan Chi, Shinnok, and the ressurected Johnny Cage all appear in this movie. But there are some new faces. There is Kenshi, and Mavado from "Deadly Alliance" and a new character called Ash who further explains Scorpion's past. Sadly (if this is all true, but probably not since things change so often in Hollywood) will probably be the last. Many of the main characters die. Jax and Sonya are killed off half way through the movie. Both being brutally murdered by Mavado. Johnny Cage is resurrected but only for a short while. His soul is stolen by Shinnok (who also posseses the soul stealing power). Liu Kang...YES LIU KANG...dies...he ends up defeating Shinnok and Quan Chi with the help of Raiden and Sub Zero. But when they begin to flee outworld by way of Rayden's portal, Liu Kang is left behind trying to free his brothers soul. He can't free it so he decides to stay behind. Outworld realm collapses with Liu Kang, his brother's soul, Kenshi, Mavado, the vanished Scorpion, and the dead Quan Chi and Shinnok. That's that and they all live happily ever after.
This is only the first draft, and it looks extremely promising indeed... It's much darker than the last two films, and is very story-driven like the first one... It doesn't have over two dozen characters, neither. It should be a hit, but I hope they change the ending; Not many people will be happy Liu Kang dies after defeating the two villains at the end
Looks like things are moving to make a Mortal Kombat 3 movie it was announced by Blackbelt TV Network President Josh Wexler today "we're going to reinvent the fighting genre. You're going to see fights like you've never seen before."

UPDATE: Filming is to start in Feb. for a release around August. Chris Casamassa who was to play the well known role of "Scorpion" is now signed to Ridley Tsui Po Wah who actualy played the character known as "Smoke" in the second film. Robin Shou says that unfortunately this is his last appearance in the Mortal Kombat franchise. Seeing that this installment is to be based on the new game MK: Deadly Alliance, Robin Shou is to only be in the first half of the movie.
Hudson Leick (From the hit show Xena) maybe replacing the role of Sandra Hess (Sonya)in the film. Hudson was to be in the Xena motion picture that is now canceled. She hopes to be in the film if Sandra is to give up the role.
So there you have it. The next film might start shooting as early as next month, and Hudson Leick might appear in it afterall, most likely as Sonya. We also have some new rumors up which we will post later
Since production will likely start soon on the upcoming film (read: MKDA success) we would like to urge Threshold to cast Hudson Leick in any role in the next film. Hudson Leick is mostly known for her work as the evil, ruthless Callisto in the hit series Xena: Warrior Princess. Anybody who has ever watched her performances know she can act - bigtime. We urge Threshold to consider her when casting for the upcoming film. For more info on Hudson Leick, visit her official website
Lynn 'Red' Williams, who played as Jax in Mortal Kombat Annihilation, will reprise his role in the upcoming film, as is confirmed in his official website. His website also confirms the return of Christopher Lambert as Rayden, who played that role in the first film. This should come as good news to many, as both of their performances were widely accepted among MK fans. It should be interesting to see who else will reprise their roles
After all the speculation, the next film has finally been confirmed! Joshua Wexler, associate producer and writer of Mortal Kombat Annihilation, talked about his up and coming martial-arts based cable network - Blackbelt TV. This new network will feature a wide sort of programming including classic kung fu movies and syndicated television shows including Mortal Kombat Conquest. In regards to the next film, he stated that "we're going to reinvent the fighting genre. You're going to see fights like you've never seen before". It looks like the film will be just as ambitious as the game it's based on, MK: Deadly Alliance
