So you want us to stop being childish? So what are we doing playing a game where one of the characters moves is to barf, or a game that is known more for its graphic vioence then its gameplay. In fact if we are so grown up, why are we even taking the time to play videogames in the first place? Let alone creating site where people like us can say what we want to say bout it as well as say our own insignifigant opinions about everything else.
I am not speaking for everyone as a whole, I am only speaking for myself. If other people agree with me it is becuase they already have the same feelings I have and do not need me to speak for them.

You said 'dumb horny guys', you never said they had to be straight.
And dumb is absolutely correct. You're lusting after polygons. That's sad. Always has been, always will be. It's no different from saying "man, I'd love to shag that 'Jill of the jungle' rotten, in her skimpy outfit of leaves!"
(^For those not in the know, it was a game back in the days when 256 colors was stunning.)
Now I can't say I'm a huge fan of Stryker's style of constantly porclaiming his orientation at every chance, but to be honest a lot of the rest of you are so completely, well "American" says it all, that you probably require someone like him to shove it in your faces.

First off, I am not saying that I am mature or not childish. And pardon me for trying to be funny. I know I didnt specify --!#$@-- or straight but Stryker seems to beleive that he is not dumd or stupid which is why I suggested he not come into this thread becuase it will be nothing but dumb horny guy comments. And I was being fair, I started another thread asking what male characters, players would like to screw and such. Not to patronize him but, like I said, to be fair. And really, you take things way to seriously if you are actually wasting the space to call me or anyonelse childish within this thread. Whats really funny is that u actually think by calling me or anyonelese who comments on my thread topic childish makes u better or above it. If you were truly above it, you would not even have taken the time to comment on it period, you would have simply looked for a more mature thread to comment on. And like I said before, it is childish in the first place to not only be playing videogames in our "mature age" but to be playing one thats known more for its gimmicks then its actual gameplay. As for the comment bout lusting over polygons, everyday us immature childish guys lust over the unatainable whether its girls, cars, TV's, or whatever. And, to get philosphical, we are not lusting over the mere polygons, we are lusting over the idea, or concept of Sonya, Lie Mie, Nitara, Frost, etc. Becuase, since we are being childish, we have childish imaginations in which these people can actually exist. So if you consider yourself more mature then me or anyonelse who makes comments like "yeah shes hot" or " Yeah Ill like to grope her on a subway" do the "mature" thing and shut the hell up. Leave us children to ourselves, our imaginations, and our fun. And besides, us being childish means we are too fucking stupid to understand ur "mature" comments anyway.

You know the funny thing? Never once did I say anything about maturity or 'childishness', or being 'above this'. Which eliminates the puropse of just about your whole post.
Didn't quite get the whole joking nature of this thread, perhaps I came in late on something.
However I will speak on Maturity for a bit here:
Mortal Kombat, since 1992 has held an M rating, for Mature. I fully understand many MK players aren't of age - hell, I was 8 when MK1 came out.
I think you'll find most people who know MK for it's 'gimmicks' are all on about the blood and severe violence involved, hardly things children should be primarily concerned with. MKDA is one hell of a gameplay fest, so you can't say that the players represented here are only in it for the gimmicks. MK is fun, that's what counts most. sports are fun, pubbing&clubbing's fun, yadda yadda. Different people have different preferences.
I happen to be a big fan of Nintendo, does that make me a 'kiddy', because it has a stigma of being such a system? (while I'm at it, I don't see any Spice girls, Britney Spears and barbie games on N...)
I don't see that it does. The people who grew up on Nintendo are into their mid-late 20's at least. And ever since the Playstation, gaming hasn't been seen as 'just for kids/teens'. People of all ages are playing games these days, and no one thinks twice about what it might say about them, because is doesn't.
You bring up a good point about your imagination there, and I remember back when I would dream of such the unattainable. These days a lot more is within my reach, so instead of yearning over things, I go out and make things happen.
Just noticing you make plenty of self-derivative (dissing yourself)comments about your 'age' which I find a little puzzling. Is it an over-active defense mechanism, because it did come out of nowhere (hence my opening statements), or do you actually feel pretty bad about yourself?
Anyway, that's my lot for the day.
