MK:DA I really wanted to like this game ...
First let me start off by saying IÂ’ve been a fan of the Mortal Kombat series since I dropped my first quarter in MK 1 some XX years ago. IÂ’ve followed the series through each incarnation and honestly, in my opinion I found reasons for liking each installation. I never understood the people that said, MK has grown stale and lifeless. I always believed that they were missing the point. MK never tried to be anything but a really cool beat em up. And you know what, they did a really good job Â… Until MK:DA.
Things I really dislike Â…
Have to hit start/A way too many times to get into the game
Profiles needed to be loaded every time before play
Unlocking characters is a serious commitment in time
One fatality per character
Juggling is useless
No analog stick
The things that made me hate MK:DA
Trademark moves missing
Unbalanced game play
Becoming a master is a requirement to defend against cheap one-button throws
I think that this game was rushed out for the Hollidays. I really don't belive that enough QA testing was done. Every MK arcade game had revisions. To release this as a home game first was idiotic.
I'm very interested in hearing anyones thoughts on some of the above points.

well i have no idea what you mean by the start/a thing.
And juggling is very important in most combos.
And the reason why you have to load your profile evrytime is so everyone in a group of people can have his own profile and load it when he needs to. Basically, the profile interface keeps people from fucking with your profile unless they know ur profile kode. I beleive its ingenious.
And I liked that unlocking characters took some time becuase it aded replay value to the game, whats the fun in having everything from the start?
and you are telling me that scorpion doesnt have his spear? Sub-Zero doesnt have his freeze? Sonya doesnt have her Kiss of Death? Kano doesnt have his cannon ball? i could go on . . .
but the gameply is a bit unbalanced and it does become inhumanly, inconsistanly difficult. And it does suck that there is only one fetality per character. That is becuase Boon wanted to focus more on the fighting styles, combos, and such instead of the gimmicks. Whether he is right or wrong is still being pandered on this board  _________________ DO I want to kill you? No . . . . But will i? . . . . why not?

Rudely put, but thanks for trying to look out for the entire board. Although I like the game, I agree with everything CoinOp said people. I like the game because it still have a lot of "pluses" above the competition. Like somone told me back when I complained about one fatality per character in the game, what other game have fatalities period? It's a step back for MK, but still competing very well with the competition out there (VF4, Tekken 4, DOA3, etc.) BTW, Jus' so that you don't get a bad impression of the MKA board CoinOp, not everyone is as rude or vulgar as our friend Stryker here. _________________ I'm back once again......I'm in need of a new avatar......Anyone that may want to help send a PM

Things you can get over...
Hitting starts and a to many times
No analog stick
1 fatality
trademark moves missing
I can agree with you about loading profiles, ive beaten arcade and forgot to load my profile, so, no coins. Im not a big fan of juggling either. The computers seem to use it cheaply, but then again, so do I. And unlocking characters isnt a "commitment of time". I got all the characters pretty much the first day (but the first day I put in about 10 hours)....
so all in all, you didnt make very many good points... _________________
