Post subject: Would people still love Scorpion if he was very hard to use? |

You know,all those people saying Drahmin sucks are funny.Most Drahmin haters really are a bunch of pathetic beginners who can only win with stun moves.
Before the game came out,lot of people seemed to like Drahmin.Then,when the game came out,people said he sucked.But i loved Drahmin ever since he was shown,and the Drahmin bashing did not stop me from using him.He was worth all those 6500 sapphire coins.
Lot of people love Scorpion.Very easy to use,what's better than that?But what if he became like the hardest character to use?Would people still love him?Or would Scorpion becomes very unpopular?
That's just something i'm wondering about.

Not even the hardest characters to use in MK are THAT hard to use. So it couldnt be that bad. And I like scorpion mostly because his look anyways...
And I like Drahmin, hes got a cool look, an even cooler alt. and hes easy to use, for me anyways...

Or how bout this. If scorpion had no combos, was slow, and a useless weapon, would people still like him?

Drahmin has no combos?So what,i barely uses style branch combos anyway.I prefer juggles,and Drahmin has lot of juggles,like the triple kick.
Drahmin is slow?Strange,his speed seems ok to me.
Useless weapon?Well,the iron club usually helps me alot.It is useful for juggles.And Drahmin can use the power up when he's in his weapon stance,making him deadly.I only use the power up when i'm getting pissed though.
It must sucks to stay a beginner forever.I can't have any fun when i win too easily.That's why i use Drahmin.Besides,i have an harder time winning with Mavado,who's also great once mastered.Hey,what do you think of Mavado,ill eat your dog?I bet you think he sucks,right?

Actually no, Mavado is one of my favorite characters (he has an awsome combo the ends with slamming the opponents face into the ground) and my favorite character to use is Reptile. And no, I do not dislike drahmin. I use him as well. In fact I do really good with him. He has real powerful single hits and almoist all his combos are air juggles (I wish that the people wouldnt flip to the ground after 3 hits becuase then Drahmin could do some major damage). ANd no, I do not use Scorpion that much becuase he is too easy to use and fast as hell. And I would rather use Blaze, they are basically identical other than Blaze does not have a weapon. I apologise for my staement being unclear. I was baically trying to point out that the only reason why most people like Scorpion is becuase he is the easiest character to use which, I beleive, you are trying to point out as well.

Exactly.I don't wanna sound offending,but when Scorpion users bash Drahmin,it tells me they're beginners.

What if they are really good players and are good with every character but for whatever reason, do not like Drahmin and enjoy using scorpion? (I am not talking bout me, I am only good with a cuople characters  )

I use Shang Tsung, Nitara, and Reptile in the game. Those 3 are probably my favorite. I do like Drahmin though, mainly because with every character the weapon is the most powerful fighting style and with Drahmin, you have a power-up with his weapon so that is awesome. I believe he is the only character with this, which makes him fun to use. As for Scorpian, he is ok but he gets boring.

I'm not gonna take offense to such a silly comment, but I'm sure it was directed towards me. Talk about someone not letting go of something, get over it! Drahmin IMO SUCKS! Scorpion is NOT the best of characters on the game because of his ease of use. However, Scorpion is a million times the character Drahmin whether he was a difficulty five or what he is (difficulty 1). You constantly continue this battle of Drahmin and how much you like him, it's getting really stale. Like him, that's fine with me, you like guys, that's fine with me, but quit trying to get under people's skin with non-sense. You have other Drahmin fans on this board. Are you happy now? Do you see them constantly making threads about how much they like his lack of clothing and whatever crazy positive you can give him? NO! They're not. So chill on bashing Scorpion and adding gasoline to a flame like you always do. Drahmin CAN be mastered, he CAN be a good character, but I don't like him not because he can be more difficult to use, but his whole look and everything doesn't fit mortal kombat IMO. Along with the fact that all his special moves are either childish or unoriginal. But have fun with him, like him all you want, but I for one don't care anymore. Just let it go.

I don't like Drahmin, never select him, but I can kick ass with him. My favorite characters are Johnny Cage and Kitana. Dunno about a thrid, I'm still working on that, but i like to select Scorpion every now and then. There's nothing wrong with being so easy to use. Problem is, since Scorpion is so popular, they should have made him a level 5, so that die hard fans would really have to work with him. Oh well, though. One thing that DOES piss me off about Kenshi and Scorpion is the fact that most characters can only juggle a character in the air for three hits. With them, I can juggle someone for about 6. It's great when you're playing AS them, but sucks when you're playing AGAINST them.
