Regarding Cage,I recall in MKTrilogy,that he did die,but his soul could not pass to the afterlife due to what Shao Kahn with the realms,so his soul was able to return to his body,therefore being no longer dead...or something...but really,in MK,no one ever really dies.
As for the topic,here are a few Kombatants that I'd like to never see again:

Sindel (Elvira with a bad wig)

Nightwolf (Just fills the token ethic spot)
Jade (What was her story again?)
