If MK goes exclusive, it will definently die faster than if it was on all game consoles. I don't care how "flawless" MK may become, I'm not buying an XBOX just to play one game. No one that is same would, unless they were planning on buying one in the first place or they're buying more than one game. But nothing XBOX offers excites me except Halo. PS2's games are better, graphics aren't everything. And sooner or later PS2 will have that little headset thingy for their online games(I think they're making one already).
In a nutshell, MK going exclusive would ultimately kill it. That's why I hate microsoft, they want to own every damn good game. They tried to make the rest of the Metal Gear Solid games exclusive, but Hideo wouldn't have it because he knows the consequences.

well I really don't care much for the ps 2.....but I don't think it'll be wise for midway to release Mk on x-box there sales would drop

Would be stupid because the world is run by money and they would make less of it by making it for one system. Midway wont do it.
Gamecube sucks.
Also, Rogue Squadron 3 will not be better than Knights of the Old Republic (Xbox exclusive) and you can put my money on that.
Xbox Live! already has that little headset thingy. Comes with the package when you buy internet support.
Xbox's game lineup for next year kicks ass. Doom 3 is even coming for Xbox. No way in hell can Gamecube/PS2 run Doom 3. It just goes to show that the Xbox, in conclusion, will lead, because, well, the newer games get the more extreme the hardware demand is. Xbox has the hardware to support the games players want to play.
If you want to play Phantom Fox Kart 12a or Mario Golf what-have-you, then buy an Advance. At least those controllers dont suck.
I am not a big fan of all of Microsoft's Computer Creations, but I have tried every console out now and owned every console out now and none of them remotely compare to the Xbox. Sorry.

You don't really know how everything works in video games world. There are many superb games which are console exclusive (GT, MGS for PS2, Fable, Ninja Gaiden, Halo for X-Box, Metroid, Zelda for GC). Do you think that Sony, MS and Nintendo are so stupid to realise they're loosing money? I bet no. Console exclusive games are of a much higher quality than multiplatform ones and THEY sell the consoles. Take Fable for instance. It will make the X-Box sell like hot cakes when it's out. And if they made it multilatform (if it was possible)? - Yeah, PS2 and GC owners would buy it - a lot more GAME sales, but many less CONSOLE sales. And MS is selling CONSOLES because EACH console sold means at least some 10 (TEN) more games for it will be purchased over time and in the end MS gets more money - meaning more resorces for MS AND for their developers - meaning better games in the end.
All the developers MS owns or contracts for exclusive games do not seem to be suffering, do they? And Midway however, a free developer who was always doing multiplatforms was on the verge of extinction.

The reason why they were on the verge of "extinction" is because they were not coming out with that many games anymore. Now that they are, the money is going to come rolling back in...thats why they created another mortal kombat, because they knew it would make ALOT of money to help out. Now they are getting better...there's no reason to go exclusive to one console, that would make them lose more money!

The Capcom company have made the same choice for Resident evil,on GC. The strategy was been critical. Now the Resident evil serie is in the full dark.
I love X-box,and i will buy it,but i don't think that Midway make this choice,isn't productive,because 3/4 of the people have a PS2... the sales will slow down. Mk series is,and will be,a multiplatform series.

Nintendo managers and Capcom are both idiots. Resident Evil should have been the last title to become a GC-exclusive. Make it a PS2 exclusive or maybe X-Box exclusive if you have to, but not GC - the console where it will definitely sell less of all.
PC is really the only platform that will most certainly be left without MK. As RTS games don't work well on consoles, fighting games don't work well on PC's.

The Resident Evil series is perfect on the Gamecube...just look at it! The sereies is still selling very well, RE would not look or feel right on the x-box! As for the PS2, well...it would just suck on PS2 also, bringing it to the gamecube was a smart choice. They made the RE series reach new heights in gameplay and graphics (which no other console could do...not even x-box)! So stop hating on just one system...there all great!
