Since we're talking about movies changing comic storylines, has anyone seen Daredevil yet. A friend tells me they've pissed about with the plot, and that DD loses his sight in a different way, and that Kingpin is not the incredibly strong guy. Is this true?

Man, hollywood should really stick to the actual story instead of changing it. Not only would the story of Gwen Stacy's death be much cooler as the firts movie, but it's also makes the Spiderman charcter more deep and emotional and lets face it, feeling responsible for ur first gf's death is a muich beter reason not to go out with mary jane then the retarded ass reason he gave in the movie. |
And thats what I'm saying... They made a huge mistake on the X-Men movie Iceman was in the "Original" X-Men w/ Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, and (Arch)Angel... so tell me why the hell was he a student at the school and friends w/ Jubilee??? Iceman w/ an X-Man before Storm and Wolverine... I'm lost Hollywood just fucked up the whole story...

I haven't see the movie... yet... but didn't DD loose his sight in a toxic spill or sumthing like that as a child??? And Kingpin has always been a really fat WHITE dude that had the strenght of Hercules... There goes Hollywood fucking up another comic story line

Hollywood doesnt just fuck up comics either. If Jurassic Park and The Lost World had held true to the novel, they would have been much more kick ass. Fuck, these producers who want a PG-13 rating just they can get all the kids to watch these movies. I seriously beleive uts the need of the PG-13 rating that is causing all of this uneeded and poor story changes in hollywod movie productions of novels and comics.
And Kingpin is really white?
Not to mention that they couldnt have picked a worse actor to portray the Daredevil. Not that he is bad actor neccessarily, but he is not an action star. Reindeer Games and Pearl Harbor are proof of that.

Hollywood fuck everything they touch.They screwed Spawn and many other heroes,now they're going to screw up another comic.Hollywood sucks,plain and simple.

Got tha righ. Give Hollywood a cool licence, and nine times out of ten they'll totally screw it up. A couple of examples.
Rambo- The first movie is based on a book, in which Rambo is not an indestructable superman. He is killed in the end of the book.
Dracula (the Coppola version)- Where they let Dracula go out in daylight, when everyone knows for fact he can't. How hard can it be to make a good Dracula movie for fucks sake?
Spider Man- The whole Gwen Stacy thing, as someone already said. Plus having him turn down MJ a the end. Superman would do that (he's crap, so who cares?), not Spiderman.

Hollywood is also about to ruin Doom in 2004.And,of course,they're not done ruining MK.They're making a Rambo 4,and a new Rocky movie.Knowing Hollywood,these sequels are being made for one reason:ca$h.They always portray Arabs as Terrorists.
They turn every violent game/book/comic into kiddie movies,just so the fucking kids can see it.Damn Hollywood.
Hollywood sucks,someone should nuke them.

Btw, they did pretty much take a dump on Daredevil, not only do they have a scene where they blantantly rip off both The Matrix and Spiderman, where it slows down and he dodges spinning blades.
