Hi, I'm new here too. I care more about the story and backround information in MK than anything else so I kind of study it as a hobby. The story of ermac was when shou khan was invading earth in MK3, Ermac was one of the higher soldiers. He was actually made of hundreds of souls brought together and created into a warrior. When Liu Kang and the others started striking into outworld, ermac was the first line of defense and therefore, quickly defeated by them and the souls that made him up were dispersed.

They haven't really gone into peoples storylines until MK4. So it can get kind of confusing.

Here's the real deal-- Ermac was a glitch in the first MK game, sometimes Scorpion would turn red and win he would win it would say, "Ermac wins." They later added him to UMK3 as just a joke. His existence is "a mystery to all." They believed he was formed of thousands of dead souls merged into one being.
In MK:DA, it mentions that Kenshi felt sorry for him, being formed from all those souls by Shao Kahn, so he freed him, and in return, Ermac taught Kenshi the Telekinetic lift.

Actully JCW you have that a bit backward,
Ermac was in MK1 yes, but he apeared very rarely when fighting Reptile, Reptile very rarely would turn orange and 'ERMAC' was in his lifebar, (ER-MAC meaning Error in Macro) it never said Ermac Wins, But there is a fake image i have seen where someone palette swapped Scorpion with red to make ermac, and it says Ermac Wins next to him, maybe you ment that ?
Kabal The Hunter: if you go to the 'Master Sites' link at the top of this window, then select 'Mortal Kombat Metropolis' there is all the MKT Intro's + Endings there, Ermac's should be there for you to read.

damn it, I did write Scorpion, didn't I? Oh well, I knew what I was thinking, lol. Next time I'll be sure I put the right character down. But I honstly thought it said "Ermac Wins," so I did screw up on that one. But didn't it say Ermac somewhere?
EDIT: Oh, ok... I guess I was thinking about that picture. I knew it was in the lifebar. I dunno why I started thinking it said that when he won.
