It would make sense. The Dragon King being a reptillian creature. Don't like the idea of Reptile himself as the Dragon King. They should stay seperate.

WELL HERES MY IDEAS FOR MK6:
IT WILL BE BASICALLY ABOUT THE DRAGON KING TRYING 2 dominate all realms....including netherrealm, edenia and Earth and even the vampire realm place. basically, Reptile would have become the DK, so no more of him. Quan Chi Wud Have Killed Shang Tsung due to his control 2 the army, but when he learns the DK is hatched, he join the DK and becomes general of The Undefeaable army. Quan Chi (Hopefully not merged with Drahmin) still has Mavado Working For Him And Kano As well, still not aware that they work for the same boss or mayb they do but must put the diffeerence aside for now like Motaro and Sheeva (nvm the Mavado ending, remeber not all endings are true). IT will be similar 2 lotr in that we will c and at least read in story lines that several realms are surrendering and many are joining the DK in an attemp to survive the attacks, possibly even outworld, and Netherealm GODS, and possibly even the ELDER GODS!. The DK wil be of course b stronger than nething we have ever seen in any MK. but it will be up 2 basically the few loyal Earth warriors and i ges some new or returning outworld or Edenian warriors to stop this threat of the DK. I also have a feeling Shao Kahn will return in some way, possibly bringing a loyal warrior with him (mayb ERMAC, lets keep our fingers crossed). Of Course, RAIDEN boon said we wouldn't c the last of him)will return, mayb with FUJIN and posibly a reincarnated LIU KANG (BOON said we hadnt seen the last of him...) and mayb even KAI, SUBZERO, KITANA, NEW EDENAIAN WARRIOR, SMOKE (PLZ GOD BRING HIM BAK!!!) THE SPECIAL FORCES AND UR USUAL BUNCH. we will prob c a return of the fighting system and krypt and prob a shit load of characters ( PROB AROUND LIKE 30)

I think the Dragon King should make a real Mortal Kombat tournament like MK1 and MK2 because he has to defeat the earth warriors if he wants to conquer earth! Just imagine how great it would be to have an official MK tournament again (MK3, 4 and DA were only fights of good against evil, but no tournaments)! A big tournament similar to the MK 2 one where the allmighy Dragon King would be the final boss. There could be an arena stage like in MK2(where Shao Kahn was sitting in the background), imagine that arena stage in 3D, now that would be cool.
