IMO, he is the worst ninja clone. Also IMO, him and Ermac are the only true ninja clones. They came into the series at UMK3, Noob and smoke came in at MK2, much cooler

I disagree with you there WhiteShadow, Rain is NOT a clone! Ermac is though! This is just my opinion though! Don't start shouting and swearing at me for NO REASON!!! PLEASE?!

rain is not a clone? sorry but he most definatly is a clone. Realy they have all been clones since the start. Reptile was the first clone, but then they gave him his own stance and smoke and noob became clones. Then in mk3 they made smoke a cyborg so he stopped being a clone. So realy scorpion, sub, reptile and smoke are the main 4 ninjas that are realy unique.
Personaly i think they should have made noob much better with his own stance or somthing to make him unique and forget rain and ermac cuz they came too late and the idea was already old.

Offcourse they were pallet swapped in MK2!! Do U really think that they had a different costume 4 every ninja in MK2??? They just changed fighting pose, pallet swapped the costume, recorded new moves, and *TATA* new ninja...

well oviously the costume was the same all the time, in mk1 scorpion and subzero where the same. But they do count as 2 seperate people and they had there own stance. But reptile was just a pallet swap. Im Mortal Kombat 2 the main ninjas where different.
I dont mind rain and ermac but they could have done more to make them unique along with smoke and noob. Suppose the smoke effect gave more of a feel of an individual character to smoke. but if they would have had different stances and mabe a slight costume alteration they would have been better.
