..........I just thought of this today, and found it funny. Anyone notice Shinnok and Quan Chi both had to find a way out of the Netherealm, and they had to have the amulet to do it.... and it took Shinnok a LOOOOOOOOOONG time to get it done....... but Scorpion gets out for every MK? WTF? lol. I guess he has a "get out of the Netherealm for free" card or something. (Got the idea from Monoply's get out of jail free card....)
I dunno, I don't really care, but isn't it kinda funny/sad/stupid all at the same time?

The Netherealm is almost like Scorpion's home. He's a dead spectre, while Quan and Shinnok is a living sorcerer and a living elder god. Their powers deteriate in the Netherealm while Scorpion only grows stronger, you should've figured that from MK:DA.

That's true, but I'm still confused by all those portals ...
Can you open a portal anytime in a Realm or do you have to be on a special place?
And why didn't Quan Chi know that the amulet was that powerfull?

they did in mk 1 deamons allowed him out to enact his revenge on sub-zero. hten he just seemed to get out himself unless he never vent back untill he took quan chi with him in mk4 and then followed quan chi out in deadly alliance

In MK1 demons let him back. MK2, well, he never went back to the netherealm, MK3 When Shao Khan started takin over earth he escaped somehow I think. MK4, got out somehow, MKDA, used portal like Quan-Chi.

The Netherealm is suppossd to be a prison--just because it's his home, he wouldn't be able to get out just because he wanted to. (I don't know where the heck you came up with that answer, man.) AND he got out TWICE in MK:DA. He escaped through Quan Chi's portal, then Quan Chi killed him at Shang Tsung's dwelling, then scorpion returned again. Play Quan Chi's konquest and it tells you so. He shouldn't be allowed to do stuff like that with no explaination. Besides, Drahmin and Moloch's home was the Netherealm.... but they had to have Quan Chi's accidental help.... Well, that brings us back to the theory of the "get-out-of-the-netherealm-for-free" card.....

Well- its possible he knows a way to get out- and every time he goes back he takes the same way out cuz nobody knows how hes gettin out to stop him?? or cuz hes a "spectre" and the others are not??

He couldn't escape just because he was a spectre, because that's where all the "dead, bad people" go when they die. It houses "unwanted souls," rememer? I think it's more like what peterbi said, about him knowing some way out, but how the heck would he find it in the small amount of time he was there, when people who wer there longer couldn't? See what I mean? It's not like it matters, but it's still a huge hole in the storyline.

There is NO hole in the storyline. From the second MK he was able to return to avenge his death.......HE HASN'T DONE SO YET! Therefore, whatever Netherealm "boss" allowed him to avenge his death, will allow him in and out until he avenges his death. The last time he got out, he found the same portal Quan Chi found only transportin' him elsewhere. Moloch and Drahmin btw aren't spectres (they're not seeking revenge until now) clearly the game states they're oni and that seperates their being from Scorpion's. But like you said, it doesn't really matter.

Wrong again, guys. Quan Chi killed his family--but Sub-Zero killed Scorpion. Scorpion was only there to avenge his own death--he killed the right one. Come on guys, read the storyline. I just found a very, very good argument, but it'll take a while to type and I don't have the time. I'll post it later.
