Why do they have to fight? If they ever became friends they would form the best team ever, they would be unbeatable. But i believe that if they fought Scorpion would win not because he is better but because he can't die. After all fire melts ice. However i still believe that they shouldn't waste themselves by fighting each other.

Yo, It would be a close fight, but I still think that Sub-Zero would come out of the fight alive and victorious!

They may have formed a good team, but will never team up. Scorpion would never team up with such lowly trash as Sub-Zero  .
Remember, up until the end of MK4, Scorpion thinks Sub-Zero killed his family. He's been stalking him and probably fighting him for years.
If Scorpion just doesn't care about him anymore (which he probably does since he knows Quan actually killed his family) Sub-Zero would be pissed at Scorpion because- well, Scorpion's been fighting Sub for years!
They've been fighting and hating each other, and they have such opposing views, an alliance between the two wouldn't be possible as of now.
Of course, it would be a cool story twist if they did.

There is a point in this story I don't know so well but i have heard of it many times. Has Scorpion originally vowed to protect Sub-zero? Please inform me. As for the team, i have read a very nice story, where they team up against Quan Chi who has harmed both of them. I still believe this could work. And Scorpionrules Sub-zero isn't lowly trash! (we are talking about 6th)

I know he isn't lowly trash, I was joking- pretending to imitate what Scorpion might actually say. (oh, and my new name is Hell Raiser)
About Scorpion becoming his protector-
Because the endings that happen at the end of a Mortal Kombat game are "what if" endings, the events that took place at the end of Scorpion's ending (Scorpion becoming Sub-Zero the 6th's body guard) never actually happened. They are sworn enemies.
Just look, after the "what if" ending of Scorpion becoming Sub's protector, in MK4 Scorpion still has a grudge against Sub-Zero.
I think it would be awesome if they teamed up and killed Quan Chi, who, like you said, has harmed them both.

I actually want so much to see them as a team because they are my favorite characters and i don't like them being enemies. But someone in here seems to be favouring scorpion too much!  :twisted:
