I thought Hsu Hao and Li Mei were just boring "space filler" characters. But Mokap's the worst.
Hey, I think Mavado's one of the best. He does need more moves though.

I'm very calm about Mokap. Yes, he's not original, but I don't see why people hate him that much. Bo' Rai Cho is original and what? That bastard is simply miserable, one of the worst characters ever ... something along the lines with Stryker.
Nitara, Mavado, and Drahmin CAN become outstanding characters but they drastically lack personality and individual moves. I just can't remember how they feel in combat, too general. I like Johnny Cage for instance for his well distinguished styles. These characters should stay and be worked over.
Hsu Hao is just a bad idea, he should leave.
Frost on the other hand, though looks and feels like Sub-Zero, is actually a very complete character for me ... She's got style, looks and feels of a character that's been in MK for quite some time. Keep and develop her.
Kenshi is nice, develop him, change weapon style a bit, otherwise a good classic character.
So, MKDA is not a bad game from the point of view of introducing new characters. Some are lame, but some actually have the potential. Remember MK4?  Only Quan Chi survived.
