I was on the mk3 furom over at Countingdown.com talking about Noob and Ermac being Joke characters and he said that Reptile was orignly supposed as a gag charater to.

well noob saibot was a joke character because hes ed boon and john tobias' surnames backwars and ermac came from a glitch in mk1 where scorpion turned red and the name ermac appeared (ermac means error macro in case you didn't know) but reptile was programed into the game so i don't think he was a joke character

Reptile was also in MK1, but I doubt he was a joke character. He would come down before fights and give you hints on how to fight him. I don't who said this, but I don't think it's true at all.

The only joke-characters are Noob Saibot and Ermac.

Reptile a Joke character? Not at all. He was a secret challenge in MK1 to test your skills on a character who had the moves of two of the best fighters in the game, Scorpion and Sub Zero.
MOKAP is a Joke character.

I doubt he was a joke character. They probably put him in there because they wanted to have something people would want to see more of in MK2 game. That or it was just a secret character for the game.

It was an error with Reptile that caused Ermac and not an error with Scorpion as someone above posted.
Reptile's new image is better since he is no longer a ninja clone anymore. Scorpion and Sub Zero will always be the original two.
