heres what I herd
We have gotten word from many sources stating that the next film is being shot primarily in London, England.
In addition to several sources stating the same filming location info, an online news magazine has also confirmed that MK3 is in the works and that it is filming in London!
Although the studio isn't known, it's likely it's being filmed at Leavesden Studios (in London). More breaking info as we get it.
Dan Southworth who was thought toplay as Kenshi, has been removed from the cast entirely, meaning that Kenshi might not even make any appearance at all.
In other MK3 movie news, TellUsFilm (site not in English) says that filming will take place in Spring, and it will be released this winter!!!
New Rumor: Raiden finds out that Johnny Cage can come back to life by performing a task (most likely beating the person who killed him in a fight[Shao Kahn] in the outer world). Then, the bad guys find out a similar task. Do not complete it, but come back to life illegaly.
DARK HORIZONS CONFIRMS MK3 - THE MOVIE!!!
From Dark Horizons:
Mortal Kombat 3: Christopher Lambert has signed for "Mortal Kombat 3", reprising his role as Rayden. The plot will follow Radyen as he will ressurect Johnny Cage for combat in MK Domination. An expected release date of November 2003. They'd better get crackin!

After Liu Kang, Sonya, and Jax defeated the forces of Outworld and prevented its merger with Earth, Shao Kahn exacts his revenge by forming an alliance with the powerful sorcerer Quan Chi. Together, they open a portal to Earth in a bid for ultimate domination. Lord Rayden, now an elder god, becomes dismayed by this horrific turn of events and calls forth the warriors of Mortal Kombat once more. Discovering a loophole in the rules of the tournament, and needing every ounce of help he can get, Rayden summons forth the soul of deceased warrior Johnny Cage and resurrects him so that he may join his fellow fighters and send Shao Kahn and his allies back to hell once and for all.

UPDATE:
Filming is to start in Feb 2004 for a release around Aug. Chris Casamassa who was to play the well known role of Scorpion is now signed to Ridley Tsui Po Wah who actualy played the character known as "Smoke" in the second film. Robin Shou says that unfortunately this is his last appearance in the Mortal Kombat franchise. Seeing that this installment is to be based on the new game MK: Deadly Alliance, Robin Shou is to only be in the first half of the movie he said, caring less about spoiling the film.
Hudson Leick (From the hit show Xena) maybe replacing the role of
Sandra Hess (Sonya)in the film. Hudson was to be in the Xena motion picture that is now canceled. She hopes to be in the film if Sandra is to give up the role.
