State your opinion on what characters you believe are cheap and what not. It has nothing to do with wether you a like a character or not. "Cheapness" is not a good thing and should be avoided.
I'll start off with those I play with or against CPU and have noticed cheapness:
- First of all, all the chars that can impale their weapon are cheap. You just wait for the right moment blocking away, and impale. And then you simply stay out of kombat till the opponents life drains out. I'm not saying, that this is a sane tactic, but it is potentially a very cheap one.
- Kitana, oh yes!!!, this babe sure is cheap as hell. I like her a lot, but let's face the facts: she can impale from distance and she has a very easy to execute long range "Pretty kick". You just press "Up" on D-Pad and walk around your opponent frowing "Pretty kicks" at him over and over again. Because you walk around, the opponent doesn't really get the chance to lock on you.
- Moloch ... no comments are needed, right? He has a nice design and could possibly have been a great sub-boss, but his moves stink. The most hated by me is his "grab and throw against the floor" unblockable move.
- Hsu Hao, I don't like him and he's a bit cheap if used in hands of an apropriate opponent. His foot and hands reach is way to long.
- Raiden, I like him a lot, but obviously, his staff if used properly is extremely cheap due to its range.
- Jax ... he's extremely cheap against Moloch (and others to some degree), cheap ass meets another cheap ass! . His piston punch does damage, not hard to execute and several of them can be stringed together.
- Mavado ... don't like him, he's cheap with his swords due to their range.
- Kano CAN be very cheap with his laser eye move. Also, the "<- + X, <- + Y" weapon combo (on X-Box) is easy to execute, it has great range and dose a nice damage. If overused, can get cheap.
Well, these are the guys so far that come into my mind.

In Deadly Alliance, only Moloch and Kitana are cheap.
In MK2, Kintaro, Kitana and Liu Kang.
Im MK3....well....almost every opponent fights cheap in MK3, but Nightwolf is the worst!!!! Kill Nightwolf!!!! _________________

Cyrax must've been pretty cheap since when I completed the game I kicked Shao Kahn's ass with a bunch of low sweeps.

In MK2 Sub-Zero was quite cheap due to his ice blast (fast ... TOO fast compared to the speed of movement of the characters). Kitana is the best one to use to pass Shao Khan.
In MK3, Cyrax was cheap against Khan because of his net. I didn't play against Nightwolf much, but I guess it is his projectiles reflector that makes you mad?
In MKDA, MANY characters CAN get to be cheap, but really cheap are Moloch, Kitana, I agree.

Yeah I forgot to mention the net. MK3 with Cyrax was pretty easy to complete. Using the net plus low sweeps. Shao Kahn stood no chance. That'll teach him to keep saying "you weak pathetic fool". I sure showed him
MKDA
Jax is pretty cheap if you quickly side step a lunge and open up with the machine gun on your opponent.

I liked the MKII version of Shao Khan more. Hell, MKII did som many things right, that some 10 years later it keeps amazing us. Boon should deeply analize what was his approach to the game in those times and apply it to MK6.

Do you think this about MK1 too? Cause I think MK1 is better than MK2. _________________

To me, it did all things better than MKI except for the removal of the TEST YOUR MIGHT feature. I can't think of any other flaws.

Yeah MK 2 should've had the test your might kept in it from the first game.
I have MK1 for the Mega Drive and MK2 for the SNES....might go set up the ol' consoles..

In the MK gistory movie it's said that the MKI dev. team was made up from 4 (!!!) men only. I guess those are Ed Boon, John Tobias, Dan Fordan and someone else ... anyways, to the point, MKI was a very special game and great achievement for those times. But I think MKII lived up to the level its predecessor had set. All MK games I have (except for MKT, MK4 and MKDA) are for Sega consoles. They are all great.

I own MK1, MK2 and MKDA.
I've played MK3 and UMK3 via video rental stores.
I haven't played Mortal Kombat 4 or any other spin offs between UMK3 and MKDA. So i'm a little rusty when it comes to characters or parts of storylines during those games.
