I was just thinking about Neo and how he is able to do the craziest things in the Matrix and it occured to me that if I was Neo, I would not want to destroy tehe Matrix. I mean would you want to destroy something that allows you to stop bullets, learn an entire martial fighting style as simply as downloading mp3s? To have an entire aresonal of weapons at your deposal? I know that it wouldnt be real but that makes it all the more fun and , as Morpheous would put it, "The Mind makes it real." Imagine GTA3 mixed with Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, mixed with Max Payne, mixed with Gran Turismo mixed with Iron Monkey. And besides, the sky is scorched anyway, I seriously doubt that you would want to go outside, especialy since you are living deep deep underground not to mention that you can do every girl in the Matrix and Technically it wouldnt be cheating on Trinity since you realy never had any physical contact with any of them. Or you can have tank's little brother create the ultimate babe becuase how can it be cheating if the girl doesnt exist? And trinity cant really complain becuase she can do the same thing, even with guys if she wants to.

Hence why I said "If I was Neo . . .". But seriously think about it: the people live underground near the earths core becuase it is the only place where its still warm.. Theres most likely no natural plant life or animals becuase of the himan's counter attack to the machines which heavily backfired. Not to mention that the city needs to be big enough, as well as have enough food and supplies, for the 100s of millions (most likely billions) of people that will be freed by destroying the Matrix. Basically there seems to be no real purpose in saving humanity (since everything is fucked up as it is and even if they defeat the machines only more problems will ensue), other then to pass the time in a seemingly meaningful fashion.
p.s. not that I dislike The Matrix but when you really think about it, its really quite depressing whether Neo succeeds or fails. Of course when people are jumping from cars to semis, stopping bullets, and fighting 100 agent smiths, who really cares heh.

It is more about freedom of the mind and exposure to reality than actually saving themselves. The Matrix is a fantasy world, in which people are trapped but are too ignorant to notice. They live their life like they would normally but it is all just a dream. The whole point of matrix is exposing ignorance and bringing people back to a true reality, no matter how bad it is.

Hmmm . . . . . understandable. Like the allegory of the cave only the inside of the cave is the reality and the world that is outside of the cave is the artifical reality.

Oh wow.
Wow, I made that post so long ago I didnt even remember it, and I got scared when I first saw it. I thought a hacker used my account. 
and its impossible to understand the Matrix movies. They leave it up to the geniuses of the world to fill in the plot holes
