I just downloaded MK2 from the russian portal but it doesn't work. After the acclaim, probe and MK dragon-logo, the screen turns dark-red, then black. If I press F1, I can see a small shioulette of Liu Kang but nothing else. Could anyone help me?

heh yep, that is the ORIGINAL release of MK2 (CD ROM / DOS 3.2" Disks) It is only designed for DOS only. You cant get it to run under any windows OS AT ALL.
All you can do, is find the REMAKE version of MK2 which is designed to run under a windows platform, I have it and will be submitting it to the fileserver soon.
It also fix's the speed bug, where as the old version of MK2 (If you had a DOS Machine and a fast system) You couldnt type the AICULEDSSUL cheat in time. It is fixed in the REMAKE.
