Am I like one of the only ones who actually REALLY ENJOYED Annihilation?
I personnelly taught the movie was pretty damn good, maybe not GREAT, but I would go so far as to say it was better then the first one.

Its a good "im bored ill watch an old movie" flick. The fights were ok and i liked the borgs, but alot of stuff in the movie was crap...

I also liked the movie.
There were some good fights and I love the characters ...
But there was also an amount of crap ...

I think MKA Was enjoyable, however the script really did suck. When you look at the script for the first movie is was pure gold, but MKA had so much crap added to it (eg the velosphere scene) even tho it was a nice touch, it wasnt really relevent to the MK universe. Apart from that, the only other real problem was changing all the actors except Liu Kang, If they had of kept the original cast it would of been so much better. I really liked the Fights in MKA, and the effects where great.

The movie had
- Horrible special FX
- Embarrassing dialogues
- TOO MANY MK characters to give everyone his real storyline (What the hell did Mileena, Baraka and the Cyborgs do in the movie...nothing but appearing for one minute and then they died.)
- Bridgette Wilson NOT as Sonya (an that's the worst thing about the movie  )
- This horrible Animalities that didn't have an effect after all.
Good things about the movie:
- Stupid Sheeva died.

I liked MKA it was cool but then again I was eight when came out and I didn't know much but it is still goodthe only stupid part was that there was more than 1 baraka

Annihilation sucked if you take away the characters and some of the fights (Like Jax vs Cyrax was tight).
Just the acting and the script. Bleh.
The first one was done much better.

I liked it, but like others said, it was lacking an ass-load of stuff. The movie was obviously rushed for reasons unknown. Plus like Sektor said, there were too many freakin' MK characters in the film to begin with. If they were gonna have that many fans in, the movie should've been more than 2 hours long just so people who know nothing about MK can know who the hell everybody is. Take the scene after Lui and Kitana got out of the veloshpere thing(when they're above the lava river). Sub-Zero shows up and explains that he's the brother of the one from MK1. Now us MK fans know his backstory, but people who have never played the game know nothing bout him BUT that. I think it would'e been nice to explain the Lin Kui and everything, but nothing. Then Scorpion shows up, and that's it, he just shows up...and fights...and says his little "SUCKERS"...and disappears. No one knows how he got back, why he's back, not a damn thing. He's just back. Never mentioned or seen again in the film. Then what happens...Sub-Zero up and disappears on Lui Kang. I won't even attempt to explain that for the simple fact that I don't know why the hell he did it.
That example above happened basically through-out the whole movie. That's what pissed fans off. I mean, we know that those dark warriors outside the temple were noob saibot-like fighters, but no one else knows that. We don't even know if Noob was in that group of fighters that attacked Rayden. Plus, the changing of race thing was what really had me going. I mean, that thread I started about Frost being black was just a joke I wasn't serious. I don't know why the hell they changed Jade to an Asian woman. But I guess they do that a lot in Hollywood.
All in all, I think MKA was made for the fans, and for the fans only. I don't think it was intended to become a hit like MK1. I don't see how the producers could've thought it would be like MK1. Crappy and jumbled plot, confused with too many characters, bad special effects(I mean B.A.D. it looks like they did it in a few days), and bad dialogue. The only thing non mk gamers really did know was the info from MK1 on the characters from MK1, everyone else was just like...WHAT!?
